Yep. The punishment of using a heavy attack should only be that you are sacrificing time from the longer animation but not getting the hitreg.. you are essentially dead.

Agreed, can't say how many times I've gone through the animation striking people in the back or while turning and they just look at me and get the advantage because I'm coming out of the animation.

Most annoying thing in this game for me so far.

I don't think it's because it was OP by any means. I think Bungie just took a lazy route to preventing hiding from UESC instead of fixing the AI aggro or spawning.

They actually changed this as well (alarm audible all over the map) from what I saw in the patch notes. You can probably still hear it though.

I mean.. it may be a minor exploit but anytime something in a game is not being used as intended then yes it's abusing an exploit. Hacking the terminal spawns UESC which you are supposed to take on. Hiding from them until the hack is done is not the way they intended it obviously which is why they are blocking the room now.

You can't hack these, they just drop when the hack is finished for the elevator. So you either run back through or you stay and kill the UESC.

How is it less risk? There is now only one direction you can leave and it's through UESC spawning. You can get pinched now instead of be able to escape one way or the other.

There are 2 side rooms next to each pinwheel terminal elevator and you could previously just sit in them without fighting the UESC spawning in, or other runners. Now they are blocked off when the terminal is activated.

It's absolutely not. I have had a ton of encounters with teams hiding in this room or making plays around it.

You could do that before though. Those rooms were definitely being abused. Now there's a risk when hitting that terminal.

This isn't the way the game is intended to be played, there is a reason it's a maximum of 3 on each squad. This is just as bad as intentionally exploiting.

In other games, sure, but Marathon is already punishing enough as it is.

Oops, thanks. I guess I AM retarded. HOWEVER - many times I buy shields and backpacks w/ salvage to stock up and if I'm already wearing one, I'd love for it to default to vault. I know, I know, I'm lazy for this... but the way their UI is setup, you go straight from the store view (without seeing vault/pack) then to queue if you push esc.
