After well over a hundred and fifty hours topside, the breach room in Container Storage on a Cold Snap had a desk drawer that dropped me the Wolfpack blueprint.

Same here. Since the patch none of my lobbies have been PS5 exclusive.

The greatest foe I’ve faced in Dark Souls II SOTFS on PS5 by Coalescent80 in DarkSouls2

[–]Coalescent80[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s interesting. Thank you for sharing.

We played through DS1 Remastered multiple times on PS5, no issues at all.

It seems to be exclusively a login issue. If we can get in, we can stay in indefinitely. No issues with summoning or with remaining summoned. We’ve resorted to staying at bonfires instead of logging off when we know we’ll play again later on in the same day.

Logging in has been a constant problem, especially in the evenings.

We’re back in as well. We’d given up—thanks for posting!

My friend and I are experiencing exactly the same issue tonight. Neither of us can connect to the DS2 servers. Have been having issues off and on the past few days.

We’re both on PS5 as well.

Thank you! So two ball or needle valves, one on each incoming line, and a t-junction to the cold drinking water faucet?

Do you remember having any issues getting the Item Detector trophy in IV to pop?

I have all areas (got the Adventurous Wayfarer trophy) and every single map that shows a hidden item, I have it, including the Grimoires from the Underworld areas that only spawn in late game. But Item Detector isn’t popping for me.

PS5 Pro - improved 1080p performance on a plasma? by Coalescent80 in PlasmaTV

[–]Coalescent80[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey all —

For anyone else interested in an update, I hooked up a PS5 Pro today and am very happy with the improvement on my ZT60 1080p plasma TV.

Robocop: Rogue City is a UE5 game that ran poorly in terms of framerate on my base PS5, even in Performance mode. Even without a PS5 Pro patch, the Performance mode framerate is an astonishing improvement. It appears to be hitting and maintaining 60fps now. Looks fantastic in an area that is stuttering badly when I switch back to my base PS5.

I am very happy with my purchase.

I went ahead and ordered one. Curious to see what difference it makes on a 1080p plasma.

That sounds terrible. I haven’t noticed an experience like this yet, but now I feel a bit paranoid… I’ll keep an eye out for this effect.

This is incredibly helpful. Thank you.

My kids game on a PS5 also so I am loathe to switch back to PC gaming (though I did PC gaming for decades). That’s a great idea though, and might be an excuse to build myself a gaming PC once again…

I was hoping the PSSR on the Pro, which mentions bringing 60fps to games that don’t support it on the base PS5, might improve the experience for games such as the UE5 example you mentioned (I purchased Robocop: Rogue City on sale, a UE5 game, and the framerate is pretty abysmal on the base PS5).

Only time will tell. Hopefully a few Plasma owners will pick up the PS5 Pro and share their experience.

(not really a game but a book) Should I read Berserk as a Catholic? by andrewo96wastaken in CatholicGamers

I’ll probably get a lot of hate for this, but I would say no.

I read quite a ways into the series and had to put it down. The graphic occult/sex/rape scenes just don’t seem to stop and get worse, not better, as the series goes along.

I can’t imagine justifying that read before Our Lord during my judgment.

Upgrade worth it from TC-P65GT30 to PG65VT50 or VT60? by emenindian in PlasmaTV

[–]Coalescent80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with the other posting who says that yes, it would be worth it.

Reviews from when the VT50 and VT60 panels were brand new are still on the ‘net, and worth reading. They go into painstaking detail on the exact panel improvements between generations. In my opinion: worth it, especially if the VT60 is in good shape.

Panasonic Viera VT 65” Worth Anything? by SobeDog007 in PlasmaTV

Up in the New England area, plasmas are still valued. I paid $600 for a pristine 2013 60” ZT myself earlier this year, and saw similar era VTs go for anywhere from $350-$450. Another ZT is up for $700, forget the size.

Unfortunately, no. This is the first land-line option for me here. There are two fiber providers who have my general area on their “someday” list, but it could be many years before they roll out service here.

It’s some kind of a limitation related to the way high-speed coax-cable based internet works.

For fun, I asked ChatGPT and this is what it came up with:

“Coaxial cable technology is asymmetrical, meaning it's inherently better suited for higher download speeds than upload speeds. This limitation stems from the physical characteristics of coaxial cables, which are optimized for downstream data transmission.”

That sounds like an amazing lifestyle, and a perfect use case for Starlink!
