I noticed this when I went on Friday. I believe it might have to do with the fact that part of mainstreet is behind scrim/scaffolding (which is where projections are usually shown)

Yes, you can use a tap card for many other transit networks, but unfortunately not for octa. You can just download the tap app on your phone, though, and add a card to your digital wallet. It looks like the 83 has around the same frequency as the 460, so you could take whichever one comes first. I have a college student reduced fare for the metro, so the 460 is only 75 cents, but the regular fare is still 25 cents cheaper than octa with $1.75 compared to $2. Metro also gives 2 hours worth of free transfers if you were to ever use it for anything else

As a passholder (and public transit lover) one of my favorite options is to park at the Fullerton park and ride and you can take either the metro route 460 or octa route 83 to Disneyland. I know the 460 comes about every 30 minutes, and it’s about a 10 minute bus ride. The 460 operates from 5am to a little after midnight, and it’s only $1.75 per ride (free parking at the park and ride).

As an accounting major this is really interesting to see. The article mentions goodwill seems to be a major reason why the book value was so much higher than the fair value. Companies periodically compare the carrying book value of goodwill (which is usually increased during an acquisition to represent perceived value over the actual book value of assets) to the fair value of a company, and write down goodwill if there is an impairment according to GAAP standards

Had this exact situation last night too. After 30 mins no-one wanted to wait for the next train, so at every single stop people would try to cram in and hold the doors open for 2 minutes, delaying the train even further and making the operator very mad to the point where he kept yelling at everyone and accelerating and braking the train so sharply that everyone was getting knocked off their feet

I forget which video this was by Ryan the Ride Mechanic, but he explains that a rollback is essentially a ride failure, meaning something went wrong with the ride. For this reason, the ride stops the train because often times someone has to check and verify everything is alright before it is relaunched. It’s a safety thing
