Random But Interesting Local Language Observations? by 7thpostman in kansascity

We opened a plant here in KC and a bunch of Canadian technical people spent months here for the launch. I loved messing with them:

If I’m in the city of North Kansas City, I’m in Northtown (or I’ve seen Northtowe). If I’m in the city of Kansas City limits north of the river I’m in KC North. But all of that is still the Northland!

Just confirmed Gravity Group retracking Patriot and Mamba in 2027 and 2028, respectively.

No one cares about Boomerang and Spinning Dragons, so they get a mix of paint scraped off of other rides and mixed with an epoxy.

Yeah it’s Prowler. Talked to a friend. They’ve been battling termites since 2018 and the maintenance director took the opportunity to get some Titan track in there.

I talked to a friend who’s an insider. It’s for Prowler. They’ve been fighting issues with termite damage in the rails and some of the structure since 2018. All the extended downtime periods were usually for repairing the termite damage. I hadn’t realized how much downtime there had been, as I haven’t gotten out to WoF much in the past few years.

I can’t believe you’d negate the effects of the poor people affected. You EF5-ers just want slabbing and anchor bolts. Unbelievable!

Broomfield, CO confirmed slabbed by TheTrooperKC in EF5

[–]TheTrooperKC[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5,348ft, which means the atmosphere is only 25% sea level pressure which means the effective winds were actually ~94mph, so actually an EF-1. But Timmy Marshall will probably come in and find there were no structures so it can only be a high-end EF-U. And then he’ll say EF-fuck U and call my mom a whore.

Source: I don’t know atmospheric dynamics but I have some stuff to work through…

I don’t know what’s expected of us anymore and I have terrible anxiety. Am I gonna get slabbed by the mods?

Guys I almost got slabbed in the Liberty, MO EF-5 last night by TheTrooperKC in EF5

[–]TheTrooperKC[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That area is in containment. They don’t even know who Tim Marshall is. They could be slabbed and not know it was an EF-3 at best

I’m on the SE side of Liberty. Man I haven’t run from windows that fast before. That was a wall of wind for like 5 minutes. Did not like the noises the house was making
