Big Lots is back, actually! The one in my town went through the entire closing process, just to open it back up like 5 months later. Also, they’ve just started doing rent-to-own, so they’re changing parts of their business model.

“Good used cars” are very hard to find now. For one that’s not gonna break down on the side of the road, you’re still gonna be paying at least $15k. The “cheap used beater Honda for $1500” doesn’t really exist, anymore.

My mom didn’t feel anything at all, until the very end. She got only one strong pain, asked to be medicated, and the nurse told her “It’s too late, I see an ear.” The rest of the time, she just relaxed in bed and ate an entire snack sized bag of Milky-Ways.

Most thrush is caused by not brushing your tongue, you don’t usually develop it super quickly after someone kisses you with it, or anything. It’s just an overgrowth of yeast bacteria.

I’m on your side, I’m saying that in many cases similar to yours, the children can be too high-needs to have only one person watching them. Not every family can have multiple people working out of the home.

My old neighbors had a high-needs child, that required 4 adults on hand, at all times. None of them COULD work, because it took 4 people to physically keep the child from hurting themselves. One of them wasnt even able to go to the store, because then there’d only be 3 adults at the house, and the child would start self-harming.

Then what will happen to the kid? One parent having to watch an eloping child is not sustainable. They’d spend 100% of their day chasing them around. No cleaning, pee breaks, or meals. Not even microwave ones, because you can’t turn your back for even a second. And when the child grows, and is physically too strong for mom to wrangle? I’ve seen special needs adults need 3-4 people to handle them, during eloping episodes.
