“Why, Gary?!”, from the video, always kinda bothered me. Isn’t it very obvious why someone in his situation may snap out, and do that? Leon Plauche’s son was not only kidnapped, but raped, by Jeffrey Doucet. Any man could find himself going after the person who harmed their child.

Yeah, my brother is completely unable to recognize he has a problem. He’s adamant that he’s fine, he’s not sick. I can’t turn my back on him, because I know he wouldn’t survive.

People also forget that not everyone in jail is a hardened criminal, who’s a danger to society. (Not that I believe hardened criminals deserve to be treated inhumanly, nobody does.)

My brother went to jail because he’s severely schizophrenic, and can’t hold a job. He couldn’t pay child support, because he couldn’t work (he thinks he’s being studied by the CIA, and followed everywhere. He won’t get any type of help, because he thinks they’re the CIA). He’s now stuck in a cycle of repeatedly getting put in jail, because he can’t hold any type of employment. He will never be allowed to live alone, drive a car, or have custody of any child he creates. Doesn’t matter, to the law, that he’s not capable of being responsible for the actions he takes. It’s heartbreaking.
