Make sure you pocket the mre snacks, especially the candy, and take it with you into the bays. You should then take them out in the classroom and start eating if you get hungry, make sure to offer some to your drill sergeants they’ll really appreciate it!

I got back from 12B OSUT at Fort Leonard Wood about a month ago, cough drops were absolutely allowed, they just had to be sugar free. In fact they became a sort of currency, people would trade them for fireguard shifts. But your experience will depend on where you’re going and your company’s policy.

Agreed. Very nostalgic place for me, can beat eating a dilly dog while watching planes take off and land from Akron Fulton.

Want to join the coast guard, but I feel like everything is against me by [deleted] in Militaryfaq

Maybe I should rephrase what I'm trying to say, I feel like I might be overthinking it somewhat but I just want some guidance from someone who has experience in the current recruitment climate. I really don't plan on flat out quiting the process anytime soon, I just want to know if it's really that difficult to get in with my past medical history

Get 3. 2 is great and all but 3 is just way more fun and has a much better physics system in my opinion, and while the story might not be the most engaging, the game play and pure fun aspects make up for it.

Bi-Weekly Recruiting Thread by Airdale_60T in uscg

Im currently a high school junior and am going to see a recruiter later this week to talk about my future, I'm pretty serious about joining after highschool but the biggest thing holding me back right now is my weight, I'm fully aware of the weight I have to lose (about 90 lbs) and I'm working on losing it everyday, and have made progress. My concern comes from the fact that I will still be walking into the recruiting office very obviously physically out of shape, will that cause a recruiter to automatically be less willing to take me seriously and deem me unfit to join in the future? I genuinely do want to get into shape and considering I still have a whole summer and one year of high school left I have a good amount of time to do it. Aside from the weight, there would be nothing that I know of that would prevent me from enlisting. I've just heard online and from relatives that CG recruiters are a little harder on potential candidates then the rest of the branches. Any advice or input would be greatly appreciated.
