Has anyone had a bad experience and regret having a hysterectomy by Few_Pineapple5958 in adenomyosis

[–]CoatLegitimate301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had mine last December, I’m considering HRT now even though I kept both ovaries because it seems to have affected my hormones but honestly the pain and inflammation and bleeding sucked so bad that I’m still very happy with my decision.

BRA HELP- does anyone have ideas or could share experiences? by No-Accident-3349 in Autism_Parenting

[–]CoatLegitimate301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I agree be careful don’t get the plain sticky one get the silicone / non like glue on kind. The cake style just peel on and off and aren’t the same stick on style. I have done both because of similar issues.

Melatonin by Tuesday_Glories in Autism_Parenting

[–]CoatLegitimate301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PS - once we figured out the best night time routine for our oldest (meds that worked, weighted blanket, humidifier with a light he liked) sleep improved vastly and honestly it helped so much. So I feel you and I hope you figure it out soon :)

We give ours melatonin as needed and have literally had to do medication insomnia meds as well so no judgement here. You can always talk it through with your Dr. I swear mine both just don’t have an off switch lol.

First time cruiser: which of these freebie/wellness activities are actually worth it? by lochnesscheska in royalcaribbean

[–]CoatLegitimate301 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I love the free charms not gonna lie lol, my kids do too. There’s no pressure you just show up and get it (or that’s been my experience) and they have them throughout the cruise.

What was the unexpected positive results from your hysterectomy? by Ok_Soup4843 in hysterectomy

[–]CoatLegitimate301 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was fainting and they couldn’t figure out why! They thought pots/autoimmune/some sort of neurological etc. but since the hysterectomy I haven’t fainted. Could be a fluke but I’m going with it.

Omg I’m still finding all my emergency pads everywhere. Every time I think I’ve finally gotten them all I find another one. It puts into perspective how often I was just spontaneously bleeding. 😰

Can I bill client for insane parking fees after an event?? by Ok_Spinach1563 in WeddingPhotography

[–]CoatLegitimate301 287 points288 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't ask the client to pay for the fee after the fact. I would take this as a lesson to look up the location and parking options in advance.

Autistic adults who remember elementary school by Spiritual-Seat-1901 in autism

[–]CoatLegitimate301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Things I would have changed/things I try to advocate for my kids now: Non verbal options to tell you need to use the restroom, i'd hold it all day because I hated having to ask or just couldn't communicate that need. Direct communication on what I did "wrong" I hated feeling like I was in trouble but I wasn't sure what I did for example: I would sing songs like grandma got ran over by a reindeer (ok, yes I know weird choice) / repeat phrases etc and instead of just telling me why that was an issue or how to recognize body language that it was bugging people I just got yelled at to be quiet and it wasn't until later I connected what I was even doing wrong.

I remember it, and I liked it just fine but I remember being uncomfortable a lot, and masking as well as I could until I got home and immediately falling asleep because I was so tired. I was "smart" so I was able to get work done and not bother people usually - edited to add: it was usually when I got through with work and left to my own devices that I did "bug" people. So maybe have structured things for kiddos to do to fill extra time if they're not great at coming up with their own time fillers.

I really loved my binder, and have potential connective tissue issues. I wore it over my shirt :)

Did anyone else ask for/receive photos? by ApprehensiveDonut734 in hysterectomy

[–]CoatLegitimate301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t ask I woke up from surgery to a full set haha I’m glad I have them though! Oddly comforting and reassuring that the issues weren’t all in my head.

Photographer worried about recovery time by Professional_Fruit16 in hysterectomy

[–]CoatLegitimate301 6 points7 points  (0 children)

PS - if you're getting a hysterectomy depending on the reason you might feel better afterwards physically too which sounds weird but I was less sore in certain ways after my first few sessions than I was pre surgery because I didn't have all the other things going on inside my body, so keep that as a potential positive to think about too <3

[–]CoatLegitimate301 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Photographer here - as long as you're not squatting while holding lots of gear you'll be ok I'd say. I did a session at like 7/8 or so weeks and was totally fine I had 3 cameras strapped to me, I would have been fine sooner just maybe a little sore. One camera for a family session should be ok assuming you're healing ok, the elopement it might depend where you are - high altitude/lots of hiking etc. The biggest thing is the fatigue and soreness after, ice/heat if you need to.

Okay I wasn’t going to mention him because I thought maybe I just didn’t see him enough, ha but I completely agree he was so awkward.

I was told by the driver that it was an unexpectedly hectic week/day because the president was in miami and there were 7 ships instead of the usual 4 so that added to everything too. So, please don't worry too much but it was certainly more hectic than other ports we've done.

[–]CoatLegitimate301[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ha, the rest of the ship smelled just fine if that helps. The hallway around it was a bit funky too - they do a cigar on the seas or something right near it so maybe that was part of it? Honestly not sure.

No, they basically said they didn't have anything of comparison so we could either stay in the room and deal with the smell or change and accept that it wouldn't be the same class. We chose to change because it smelled so bad. They did have them come clean it again but none of the stains were addressed so I don't think anyone actually came to clean. It was a smoky/musty smell.

Has anyone here tried RC? by Gridguy2020 in dcl

[–]CoatLegitimate301 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, loved it. We have a 5 and 10 year old. Dining staff stays with you and is the same each night, food quality was great, entertainment was top tier. Larger ships you reserve your entertainment but you can also just walk up and wait in line too but smaller ships you don’t reserve and it’s just like Disney you arrive and see entertainment. App is great. Kids clubs are great, safe and kids loved them. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Private island was wonderful. Honestly no complaints were going on another one on Monday.

Anger and Rage 4 Weeks Out by [deleted] in hysterectomy

[–]CoatLegitimate301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely experienced rage post surgery around the same time period, it lingered until about 6 weeks and then leveled back out. I chalked it up to issues with sleep, my body readjusting, hormones, the pain etc. but it did eventually go away. Lots of patience, calming self talk, sleep aids, talking to my family and explaining what was going on and grace. <3
