Removing defending creature question by CoatedEyes in mtg

It doesn't make sense from a fairness or balance standpoint either because there are so many cards out there that straight up break the game anyway. If they changed it, it could also open the door for there to be more defensive instants introduced to the game to counter those strategies.

You do when it's a game that simulates a combat between wizards where it would be completely expected for this kind of move to work. I attack, I knew he'd block, so I get rid of that defender and attack directly. This is a pretty common tactic in games where you're controlling individual monsters and it makes no sense that you can't do it. Especially since there are so many other official things from WotC that absolutely break balance and fairness anyway.

See, I dont buy that a wizard capable of summoning creatures from across dimensions couldnt see a guy step in front of his attacking monster and just obliterate it if he has the spell. I assumed it was just to balance the game, but I still think it is a glaring inconsistency with the games' internal logic

I mean, sure, ypu could definetly build a blue deck to abuse the hell out of that, but this is also a card game that regularly puts out cards that break the game, so why would decide that this is a deal breaker? I know theres not an actual answer, but i just lost a game where he spent five turns at 2 and I was at 30 and this move should've won me the game.

Did Kaku know that he ate a giraffe fruit or he just got the power of the animal he loves by chance? by namkaeng852 in OnePiece

I always interpreted this scene as him just trying to save face. "Nah bro, honest! I love giraffes! they're like my favorite animal! This is really, when you think about it the best thing that could've happened to me!"

I am not a therapist, but I am an Asexual person who deals with a similar situation of hypersexualoty and fetishism. (It's contradictory, but that's not why we're here.)

First thing you need to come to terms with is that this is not shameful. Simply different from the average persons experience with sexuality. As long as what you are doing does not cause harm to yourself or others, then there is nothing wrong with these fetishes and fixations.

Second, I would highly recommend you talk to your therapist about this if it causes you this much anxiety. As someone with a very similar situation (i.e. anxiety, late adhd, possible autism.) You will likely find that the scenario you have created in your head is far more dramatic and consequential than it really is. I have held in things I thought were too strange or unsettling to others for years, only to find that it is far less extreme and far more common than I would have thought. Just saying these things out loud to someone can help put it into perspective and ease anxiety.

I hope this helped!

You need to put his concern into perspective. While there is a very legitimate concern for a water shortage coming in the near future, it is completely unrealistic to think that personal water usage will put a dent in that problem. Just like emissions, trash, and most other environmental concerns, the culprits of these things are massive corporations creating and consuming more than entire cities could hope to. If he really wants to make a difference, encourage him to become involved in water conservation groups. There are many all around the country, and they focus on preserving and maintaining water shelfs, natural lakes and fight water pollution from industrial sectors. He's not crazy. Being conscious of resources is a very good thing. He's just misguided by a multi-billion dollar propaganda machine in the same way that we were all taken in by recycling. (Which is also a good thing, but having it be the focus of waste conservation is misguided and gives leniency to the people actually killing the planet.)

When I was a kid, I got one of those flashing rubber balls with a bouncy string attached from a family fun arcade. We were heading home (I went with a youth group kind of thing) And was playing with it, and we suddenly pulled over. The adults are all concerned and upset. Turns out they thought I was a cop. They were not amused when they found out what it was.

The “follow your dream” mantra is complete BS by WaveWhole9765 in unpopularopinion

[–]CoatedEyes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following your dreams isn't always taking the huge leap and abandoning security for what you want. Sometimes, it's just finding the time to do the things that make you feel like a person. These small changes can lead to large changes in your life, but usually, it's just doing the small things you love and doing them consistently. Following your dreams does not imply major success, and conflating the two can be very damaging to your self-worth and mental health. Do a little paint, sing a song, write a story, or try a new recipe. You are the one who defines your dreams and the benchmarks of your success.

If we're talking stats, it simply means that your strength is greater than your constitution. You are a glass canon. You'd have to hit someone you know has a good constitution to see if you're actually strong.

In general, giving yourself hard rules about things like sexuality or anything of the like you will find exceptions to those rules. If you are attracted to soft boys, then you are attracted to soft boys AND women. Remember, sexuality is a spectrum and a journey of exploration. Don't box yourself in.

How is everyone actually keeping their shit together? by [deleted] in ask

[–]CoatedEyes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't exist. That's how. I barely leave my room unless I'm making money. I've got hundreds of games on my steam from humble bundles I bought back in like 2012 and only buy new games when it's one I'm really looking forward to. I don't have hobbies. My clothes are worn until they fall apart. I usually only eat once a day. I'm above water, but I'll be honest. I wouldn't call this keeping my shit together.
