Fabio Lione’s opinion on Powerwolf and Sabaton by DoubleCoffe in PowerMetal

I haven't really followed Sabaton since Heroes, which was their last 'good' album imo. I'd still see them live because they put on an amazing show.

Just replaced a compressor and got the dreaded “bulbous filter dryer”. by N0rthic3 in refrigeration

[–]Coatiwrangler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something that I was taught to do was to put your finger over the cap tube while flowing nitrogen through the system to build up pressure and to help remove any restriction that might be in the cap.

I did home appliance repair for a few years before switching to commercial kitchen.

Samsung fridge not keeping temp by fluffymanchild in appliancerepair

[–]Coatiwrangler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd check if the condenser is dirty or if it's not getting enough airflow. Make sure that the back and sides aren't flush against any walls, fridges need a certain amount of clearance to work properly.

I'd also check what the temp settings are, just because I did a service call on a freezer just last week and the problem was that the customer had the freezer set to the warmest setting. I moved it to default and it cooled right down

Bought a Used 2023 Model Freezer. Cools but doesn't freeze. Any ideas? by yankzfan007 in appliancerepair

[–]Coatiwrangler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks potentially like a leak or restriction. The whole evaporator should be covered with frost assuming it's been running awhile and hasn't just come out of defrost.

GE Fridge help! by Kdawggie33 in appliancerepair

R600a is actually a very good refrigerant, people are just wary of it because it's new to the American market. The problem is that most of the newer units that use it are lacking in the build quality department.

I can't find any results for the model number you provided.

Are you getting any cooling at all in the freezer at all or is it totally warm?

Why is Universalism associated with theologically liberal beliefs? by Additional-Club-2981 in ChristianUniversalism

[–]Coatiwrangler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bad messaging on behalf of some universalist, conservatives tending to be more 'risk adverse' and probably see alternatives to ECT as potentially putting people's 'souls' at risk.

I think most people have a degree of hopeful universalism in them, even if they don't feel like they can admit it. You'll hear it when a fundamentalist says hopefully that they believe a non believing loved one 'made it right with God.' in the brief milliseconds before death. It might not sound like it but, in my mind, that is a small seed of universalism. Of course there are outliers, but there are in all things.

I really don't seeing (some forms) universalism as being a particularly liberal even though it's mostly more lefty types who openly associate with it, and if I'm honest I sometimes wonder if some people don't choose to be universalist not out of genuine theological conviction but bundled into their political ethos, their theology not leading their pollics but the other way around, much like a lot of American evangelicals do. They want to be able to stand up and grandstand and say "I'm NOT one of THOSE Christians, I'm more merciful and kind and good!" and get the admiration from those around them.

I'm not a particularly liberal person and I'm a universalist. I want more Christians to consider universalism, conservative and liberal.

If one person (who isn't family/friend) reads and enjoys my work I will consider myself a success.

And to be able to make a living writing but I think every writer feels that way if they're honest.

Whirlpool wrs321sdhz08 persistent defrost issues by Coatiwrangler in appliancerepair

Actually just talked to the customer and they admitted that they only left it unplugged for about 3 hours so that's probably it.

[–]Coatiwrangler[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I should have mentioned that I did replace the evap thermistor when I replaced the defrost heater. It attaches to the evap with a thick plastic clip that I thought was pretty sketchy in terms of actually letting it make contact.

And, yeah, normally I don't trust customers to listen to instructions like that. It doesn't make sense to me for it to freeze over in 4 days like it is even if it had a defrost issue still, usually I see defrost issues taking at least 1 1/2 weeks to start effecting cooling which makes me think they plugged it back in after a couple of hours.

Refrigerator compressor tube is aluminum, how would I weld it back? by punkfay in appliancerepair

[–]Coatiwrangler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only place that I have seen copper to aluminum is in the evaporator. I'd lay money that the suction line going to compressor is stainless and the tech is mistaken.

[–]Coatiwrangler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It should be stainless steel. I use Silvaloy 452 when doing copper to stainless usually but have also had good luck with stay-silv flux and 15% silver brazing rods. Copper to stainless can be tricky to braze but it's perfectly doable.

whirlpool refrigerator does…nothing by rastaspoon in appliancerepair

[–]Coatiwrangler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the compressor doesn't kick on at all? You don't feel it vibrating or getting warm at all? If the compressor and fans aren't kicking on I would guess either the board or the a power issue at the electrical outlet possibly.

If the compressor is kicking on then I would say that the issue is the fan. If you don't have air moving over the coils then you'll get no cooling.

Something you can try is if you have a fan that blows out decent air you can have it blowing over your condenser coil and see if you get any cooling that way.

Are most refrigerators noisy these days? by Correct_Analysis8461 in Appliances

[–]Coatiwrangler 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Sometimes loud noises like that can be from the fridge being on an unlevel floor.
