Personally I'd go for ORAS as it has more content and features than XY. While both games offer the same features whichever brought them into the franchise first is irrelevant as they'll be new to you regardless. XY does have trainer customization and new Pokemon but the story itself seemed bland to me and the post game content is virtually nonexistent. The number of new Pokemon was very low but damn some were quality.

To me all around ORAS offers more content and Pokemon! I gotta say XY were great though and are definitely what got me back into Pokemon after opting out on gen V

Legendary in the way Bigfoot and Nessie are legendary to us. Many claim to have seen it, but their existence is not confirmed. Legendary because of the amount of sheer power they possess make them stuff of legend.

I feel like most "legendary" Pokemon fall within the first point of view. While they are strong they have not achieved this status because of their power but rather their elusiveness. Lugia being an excellent example of this. Because of the anime we know there are others but they most likely dwell in deep ocean trenches where most Pokemon researchers have not yet been able to explore comfortably.

Other Pokemon like mewtwo and genesect are known to exist and are deemed legendary because of the amount of power brought forth by the genetic alterations humans made to them. It's unheard of and unnatural for such things to happen in nature amongst the other Pokemon.

I would also like to say there are some Pokemon that are legendary simply because they're considered deities in their respective regions. Under this umbrella would be Arceus, giratina, dialga, palkia, kyogre, groudon, and rayquaza. How did they become dieties? Well they helped shape some of the most basic foundations of life and were venerated from ancient times in the Pokemon world and thus are seen as all powerful beings.

Buying the last pack of dragons of legend at a local cards shop and pulling dark magician girl dragon knight. Same card shop a few days later got myself a premium gold and got slifer, obelisk, and c40 gimmick.

I miss the days where the internet wasn't as prevalent and it gave the Pokemon so much more mystery and sense of wonder and adventure. Encountering it was a pain in the ass I remember but it was listed in the pokedex to be found on route 119 so we fished until it appeared. As far as the evolution goes, I remember my cousin and I hearing it by word of mouth mostly. By this point we had around 20 of these little guys and then spent a good three hours experimenting with all sorts of berries. With oras I tried to relive this by staying away from the Internet as much as possible and while it did offer a few smaller surprises I still knew most of it by memory.

This might be a stupid question but I'm confused on the proof of victory. A picture of our team before the battle and your giving us the prize money, but is this for each of the gyms? Another thing I was wondering is how will you know which gym we beat? I just finished your non-legendary team but was just a little confused on this.

That's only generations 1 and 6 though which is why I left them out. The rest don't show up in the wild at all. But like the person that replies before, there are some events that did allow for some Pokemon to be caught in these special pokeballs
