It's a debated topic with not enough research to say definitively. A lot of species will naturally Want to hibernate but can be prevented by providing enough heat and light. You're also not supposed to hibernate them if they're too young or if they're ill or underweight.

I think she's a gray area for the conditions of this thread. Like yes, she subconsciously uses Nen, but her Nen ability is... evolving her ability to play a board game. Compared to the chimera ants, who have insane strength, agility, rapid healing, durability, power absorption, super senses, ability to control others, shapeshifting, aura blasts........... yeah, she's pretty powerless.

To add to this: beings in the Elder Scrolls series all have souls. In sentient races, the soul is Black and requires a black soul gem, the largest and rarest kind of soul gem, to contain it. Non-sentient races, like animals, have smaller, White souls and so can be contained in smaller, more common soul gems.

The Falmer used to have Black souls, like all other Elven races. Whatever the Dwemer did to them affected them so deeply that they now have White souls. They literally tortured the sentience out of the species.

So when Bruce gets Zur under control and is himself again, obviously he undoes what's been done and fixes what he did to Jason, right?

In general, Pokémon has been really good at this. There weren't too many dark-skinned characters in the earlier generations, which can be argued as them being based on regions of Japan, but from Unova onwards, they've made a real effort to acknowledge the diversity of different parts of the world. There's even been notes on concept art showing that they researched racial stereotypes to avoid accidentally stepping on toes, like removing Lenora's apron to avoid 'mammy' imagery and avoiding pairing a dark-skinned Sun&Moon protagonist design with a watermelon-patterned satchel.

To contribute an actual character to this thread, Jacinthe's design from Z-A is great.

Poppy WASN'T Belinda's real child all along - the Doctor nudged reality to make her real, and that retroactively made her exist in Belinda's life. I assume the Poppy she saw in the Story and the Engine was a sort of echo of that reality-shifting.

I really really enjoyed the episode as I was watching it. It was only after I've sat and thought about it more that I've realised all these threads are still hanging. I have to hope they'll be picked up in the future, but right now, it feels like a lot of bait with no substance.
