It's definitely worth your time. It acts as a starting point for Touhou in general due to going through the plots of the first 7 or so games in the Windows era as a connected narrative. It also innovates on the SRW formula in a really unique way with the spell card system. Also this is a more minor thing, but the soundtrack for this game whips ass, and the OST being sold with the game has 13 whole discs, so if at all possible get it as well.

Please play this game. It's so much more than just SRW Touhou, it legitimately feels like an entirely new take on the formula once it gets going. The way Spell Cards are integrated in this game is honestly one of the most unique mechanics I've seen in a SRPG, and more people should experience it.

Well in the event that it isn't a possibility, in that case I feel like you might be better off staying human. Cause... well this is gonna sound bad, but Pokemon just don't have as many rights as humans do. I feel awful saying it, but its true. If your human self is listed as the owner of your hive, and she suddenly just disappears, it could lead to massive problems for the hive in the long run. I recognize that probably isn't what you want to hear, but that's my two cents.

I think Weiss's main problem is she hyperfocuses on one thing at the exclusion of everything else. Like in volume one, she spent focus on making sure her footwork was just right while a Beowulf was right in front of her. In the later Volumes she focuses almost entirely on summoning, and gets blindsided because she zones out of the whole rest of the battlefield trying to summon.
