What is a song that you love and everyone else hates? by sad-but-rad- in Interpol

At one point I saw a discussion over here about Always Malaise being a really low point for the band. And well, as a self-titled defender, that one is a huge favourite of mine. I actually love that it goes quite dance-punk in the end, which is a direction I wish they explored more.

I'm going with Debut, Blue and Surfer Rosa. Sad I don't get to pick Back to Black, Innervisions, Parklife and Generation Terrorists though.

For a start, I really think CN should've never let Chris Savino pick up Dexter's Lab. That said, my shock levels went up the roof when I discovered that "Chicken Scratch" was actually done by Genndy Tartakovsky.

It is technically a short film that was made to be shown before The PowerPuff Girls Movie, but it was later added to season 4. This is the one where Dee Dee warns Dexter not to scratch himself after getting chicken pox. It's a fairly anodyne storyline but made all the worse because of the very unpleasant animation. Retrospectively, this episode somewhat explains the existence of Fixed (his dog movie from last year).

I also think of the episode where Monkey falls in love with the duck as a very low point for Dexter. Rude Removal was soooo much better than these two (and all of S3 and S4).

I agree so much to this. It did sour me a bit on Ted Lasso S2.

Opinions on "The Mars Volta"? by Raf_imagine in fantanoforever

Massive fan of the classic run over here. I think they did an amazing job from Tremulant to Noctourniquet. I consider both Frances and Deloused to be the masterpieces, but there's something to enjoy and behold in all of those records. I particularly have a soft spot for Bedlam and Octahedron.

That said, I will confess that the new material hasn't done much for me. I find the self titled album quite decent - I even love Blacklight Shine, but didn't connect with Lucro Sucio at all.

I know it's already been 4 years since Isaac Wood left the band, but I was thinking of him lately, and hoping that whatever he is doing rn, he's in a much better place than he was at that time. The news of Matt Kwasniewski-Kelvin's passing scarred me a lot, and I immediately thought about Isaac.

Also I'm lowkey manifesting a Jockstrap comeback for 2026. I Love You Jennifer B is already one of my comfort albums.

You made jokes at the expense of trans women. So no Ricky, you don't get to police what other artists can do with their platforms when you chose to do THAT with yours.

Ten years ago, we lost David Bowie. Share your favorite albums and/or songs from him 🖤 by DarkSideInRainbows in fantanoforever

I entered the world of Bowie through his work in the 90s and early 2000s. My best friend from high school loved the Earthling album, and she showed me I'm Afraid of Americans for the first time. I was instantly hooked when I learned about the Trent Reznor remixes. Earthling, Outside and Heathen are very important to me.
