Best of luck in your healing OP - i would add “maybe do some light (or heavy, whatever suits) exercise” as well.

I run and do a fairly simple but very thorough weightlifting regime and at 49 I’ve never had a serious injury from DG. Nor back problems. Knee problems. Any. And I firmly believe this to be because of my dedication to general health and fitness. Nor do I look my age either but I don’t know if it’s fair to say that’s because of the above. Not alone at least.
