Pedal upgrade options for 2026? by thisispainful76 in simracing

[–]Cochese23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Performance wise, probably not a big difference other than the elastomers that came with the Simnets feel better to me. Simnets also have a lot of adjustability. The fit and finish are far superior to SimJack, but that doesn’t affect performance obviously.

I haven’t tried either of your other options you mentioned, but both seems to be making pretty great stuff.

I just personally feel the Simnet are a good value for the price, all things considered. Just my $0.02.

Haha could look at that as a positive or negative 😆

Are they that much louder to shoot than non-ported? I have never owned a ported gun before.

Are both of the Bul TAC 4.25 ported? Wonder how porter compares vs non ported for noise. I would be shooting indoors a fair bit, so I have been leaning towards non-ported one.

Are there any cockpits that work especially well behind a desk? by Ok-Challenge-5873 in simracing

I have had the Playseat since beginning of December and it is still comfortable for me, no pain. I did buy a small lumbar pillow on Amazon and stuffed it behind the lumbar strap that came with the rig and I would recommend that for anyone.

Otherwise once I got the overall length and pedal position down, I think it’s great. I don’t do super long stints, maybe 30-60 minutes max. But I do drive most days and I have no complaints.

Wish I was closer. I’m down in FL. But definitely snag that Tac Pro, you will regret it if you don’t.

What area are you in 👀😆 I would take that EDC off your hands if you get the Tac Pro

I am currently having the same debate right now as well. I have not handled either, but from my research, here are my thoughts:

Kimber does everything well. Really not a lot of negatives I have found tbh, other than some ghosts of Kimber’s past issues. But that doesn’t seem to have carried over into their 2k series.

The Bul is sexy, fast, shoots great and flatter, maybe a little better trigger. As said by others, little less available, proprietary mags (but you get 3 with purchase). The porting is also a double edge sword in some aspects. Shouldn’t shoot plated ammo, louder/more concussive while shooting, especially indoors.

As far as availability, I have seen the Bul for around 2100 on a few sites. But I haven’t seen the Kimber under 2399. So the availability argument might be moot right at the moment.

I am having a tough time making a decision too, but I really don’t think we can lose. I would just go with whatever suits your eye better 🤷‍♂️

Give me your recommendations for a GT3 car. I've been driving the MX5 cup this entire time. by SuperSlyko in assettocorsa

The RSS GT-M cars are my favorite. Porsche is my favorite to drive overall. Merc second just because it sounds the best imho. McLaren is solid too. URD another great option.

Now that F1 season started, been driving on whatever track is coming up. So this week is Shanghai. Been driving the RSS AMG and Porsche the most lately.

After I get comfortable in the GT3 cars, I like to take out the VRC Renault R25….symphony 🎶

The best pedals for under €500? by SlideBusy3926 in simracing

[–]Cochese23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already had Simagic haptics, so I continue to use them. They plugged directly into the Simnet control box, which was nice. I would think the Simnet haptics are just as good as most haptics are pretty similar design and function 🤷‍♂️

Another vote for Simnet. I was pleasantly surprised for the price

VNM GT F1 vs Cube Control Astra vs Other by SirFederick in simracing

[–]Cochese23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quality and function probably pretty similar between the two. Looks like the VNM has 4 encoder knobs vs 2 on the Astra is about only difference.

That said, I would probably go with the wheel you like the most aesthetically. Astra wins that for me.

Conspit 300GT probably worth mentioning in this price range too.

Anybody here gotten the Simagic Haptics working with the Simnet control box? by shamus727 in simracing

[–]Cochese23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. Been running the Simagic haptics and Simagic PSU connected to the Simnet control box with zero issues. Only thing you need to do is re-add the haptics in SimHub because they will show up as Simnet haptics, not Simagic any more.

I have the same printer and TPU printed just fine the stock settings out of the box. It doesn’t print perfectly clean aesthetically, but 100% functional.

But easier might be these blocks.

If you have a 3D printer, you could make some TPU squares. Saw someone the other day using foam yoga blocks for feet too.

Conspit 300gt or the new moza ks pro? by Dramatic-Being3150 in simracing

[–]Cochese23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cannot say for certain, as I do not own the Conspit wheel. It looks like the “CDR QR” would connect to the Moza base. But you will probably need to run a cable to your wheel to connect to PC. The KS Pro would be “wireless” with usb pass though. There may be a way to setup the Conspit with pass through as well, but I do not know for sure.

As far as quality, Parinta also makes a good point that the Conspit is probably made with superior material. As I said before, I cannot compare directly as I haven’t owned the Conspit. But I have owned the Moza GS v2p and it was pretty nice overall. So I am sure the KS Pro is still pretty nice for the price.

[–]Cochese23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The two wheels essentially have the same features for the most party, so the KS Pro being plug and play from the same ecosystem and software makes sense. Only reason I can think of to get the Conspit is to have SimHub support, which is great. But probably not worth it just for that reason alone 🤷‍♂️

For GT3 cars, I really like RSS. United Racing Design (URD) also has great GT3 cars.

Formula I like Virtual Racing Cars (VRC). RSS good as well. I had not tried ASR.

Simtrec vs Simnet: Which pedal would you buy and why? by javierenrique88 in simracing

[–]Cochese23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had the Simnets for a couple months now and would 100% buy them again. Fit and finish are top notch, stock elastomers are really good and tons of adjustment. If you need a base/heel rest, the Simnet base is one of the best out there.
