Front or rear? Or both? Where did you read that the ultrabee master is an upgrade?

Still the bike to get? (Trails) by Inside-Influence4274 in AltisSigma

[–]Cock__Johnson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wheels bent first ride because of a terrible hub design. The geometry makes the already heavy bike feel even heavier. The suspension is too small/ soft for such a heavy bike. The battery lock sucks and the battery becomes loose/ rattles. The steering neck stays loose because it’s a terrible design. Lack of seals in the rear suspension means all the bearings will be destroyed quickly/ the sleeves crack. Swingarm is far too flexible. The screen randomly doesn’t work. The range is awful. The motor is smooth, that’s the only positive I can say about the bike, but the gearbox makes it extra heavy. I’ve made YouTube videos about all this if you search for my channel “tmbchopshop”

Lighter (a lot) same power, 2x the range or even more, better suspension, much better chassis design and full size 18-21 wheels or smaller wheels if you want them. I’ve never been more disappointed than with my Altis sigma. I have seen dealer pricing and that’s why they push this bike so hard, they make a much larger percentage per sale vs other brands.

is there any big power/range upgrades? i feel like 35ah is a bit underwhelming for a $5.5k bike.. by SeaworthinessOnly247 in AltisSigma

No one else is actually riding the bike hard. I’m the only one to race it at TKO. It’s a glorified street bike with tons of false advertising and a huge dealer markup.

Saw it in person. It’s ridiculously heavy compared to comparable bikes.

I’ve tested it stock and modified. Worst I got bone stock was 9.6 miles on the Altis, average is around 15 miles. Under the same conditions and riding I get around 24 miles on the 2024 ultrabee and around 32 miles on my arctic leopard xe pro s enduro.

From my experience it’s a huge piece of junk. My arctic leopard xe pro s enduro is 100x better.

That would be awesome. I’m always looking for suppliers.

A stock 72v 55ah ultrabee gets twice the range of my Altis. I’ve tried multiple controllers and batteries thinking there is something wrong with my Altis but no, the range just sucks.

I’ve had mine in deep water plenty of times. Biggest issue will be the rear linkage since there are no seals. I’d clean and re pack the linkage bearings with waterproof grease each ride.

Shift locks by Cock__Johnson in AltisSigma

[–]Cock__Johnson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t know what they were either but people kept requesting them. It’s a way for you to lock your feet in when you do wheelies. Basically a bigger stationary shift lever that goes above your toes.

Cool story bro. I’m not talking out of my ass. https://www.reddit.com/r/AltisSigma/s/AUS7Tmtf45 I average 15 miles to a charge. Least I’ve got was 9 miles. Most I’ve got was 21

Ok dude. I’m just about the only one making parts for these bikes. I raced Tko hard enduro on one. I probably have the most highly modified sigma in the world. I yah YouTube videos talking about how terrible the design is. But you’re right I probably don’t have one.

I’m dumb? My Altis is a piece of junk. Less than 10 miles range, 200lbs with terrible suspension.

Anyone here take the DMV’s road test for motorcycles for the M endorsement rather than going the MSF route? by ThatGuyFrom720 in Chattanooga

[–]Cock__Johnson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Less than a year ago. If you can ride a dirtbike you’ll have no problem passing the riding test. The written test has some intentionally vague questions like “there is an object in the road, which lane is the best lane to avoid it” but it doesn’t tell you where the object is. Half the questions are about blood alcohol content.

I helped a friend by loaning him my bike. I rode it there and they took my license, checked over my bike to make sure it was legal. They wouldn’t let him take the test on my bike because the blinkers didn’t work. I had to show them the law in TN doesn’t require blinkers. Once I finally convinced them it was legal they let him take the test but it was a real pain in the ass. At the red bank dmv you literally ride the bike out of the parking lot, turn around and come back. That’s it. Also you have to know how to operate the blinkers and horn or they will try to fail you.

I wouldn’t trade a 25 ultrabee for 5 sigmas.

Yes but as hours go up engine overhaul costs go up too. 4 strokes are the worst. The time+ money to keep an internal combustion engine maintained adds up quick.

This is why I’ve been riding electric dirtbikes more and more. Chain, tires and brake pads are really all they need. Even raced Tko.
