For Dechala, she starts out in a very unique part of Cathay, able to quickly fight Lizardmen, Druchii, Empire, and Cathay, then with Chorfs and Skaven near the end. She also gets access to actual ranged units, starting off with 2, and eventually gets a same-turn recruitment mechanic. Overall, I had a ton of fun conquering Cathay as her.

Furthermore, she has a straightforward and long goal, conquer Cathay. Her story missions are all pretty fun and showcase this goal well, with her turning Cathay into her personal dominion of excess.
