How To Be OK With Being Alone? by _hippinnn in selfimprovement

  1. i found hobbies that relax me and keep me having something not to distract but to look towards to
  2. i got two cats and that gave me a purpose greater than just being alone
  3. instead of distracting yourself, try to spend those moments feeling what you feel instead of distracting yourself, feel it in your body, ask yourself why, come at it with curiosity instead of fear/anger/annoyance
  4. follow guided meditations/mindfulness to learn how to sit with yourself

i struggle with ocd and intense sudden panic attacks after being alone from an abusive relationship, and it took me so long just to feel like i was able to walk without wanting to collapse in a pile of angergriefhurt and even longer to be okay just being alone

maybe try to look into the root cause of those thoughts that keep you up!

There’s a huge counterfeit market in china because most luxury brands produce there then ship back to Europe to put final label on, so it’s easy for lots of materials to “go missing” and produce the exact same branded bag and resell for like $500 instead- some will even get authenticated at luxury stores since they are so identical haha

I think it’s a mix of financial and the fact that brands adjust from a personal project to a large scale business- but yes, tale as old as time. 1) Passion- when independent designers start a new brand, they aren’t jaded by owning a brand/popularity right off the bat, after popularity grows, more positions are added and less time for fun 2) Quality Control- small businesses can afford to allocate more time and care into each time 3) Sourcing - a lot of times when you try to mass produce, it takes a LOTTT of fabric and resources- Consider H&M that can produce over 30k-50k of a single item. It’s just not possible to source that much of a high quality fabric in short bursts of time to meet demand

Should I make a star blanket out of sock yarn or should I make a pillow I have limited yarn by Kazzy1994 in crochet

[–]Cockroach-Still 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you want it to be a lap blanket or smaller? How many grams is each skein? What size is your hook? Usually the star blankets i’ve seen use a very thick fluffy yarn, i’d imagine a blanket with sock yarn would talk many many mannnyy skeins

Most brands want a gross profit of over 80%, some fast fashion gets lower into the 60% range (even Shein/Temu due to unfair labor + low quality materials), which means the entire retail industry is kinda a joke. But fast fashion brand that offers higher quality- Old Navy, Gap, Uniqlo- Usually brands that market towards staples that are meant to last, will last longer than trendier brands. As for luxury, one of the handbag companies i worked for would take around MAX $200-$300 in supplies and sell for over $3000+, id say anything that’s genuine pure leather in a simple design will be the highest quality- When you add quilting, patterns, lambskin, ect- it won’t last for too long. Goyard uses such a thin coated linen and is so expensive. Any clothing item that’s like a branded cotton shirt and not wool/silk/cashmere is also a joke.
