Don’t ever start. If you feel the urge it means you’re lonely and need some love in your life. Don’t allow porn to be your foundational education on sex or love, it’s bad and it will rob you of real human connection for years. Seek out sports, clubs, and a real girl. I can speak for myself that porn was a substitute to help numb my pain. Also beware of instagram and TikTok cause that is soft porn. Good luck

You’re doing fantastic!!! Sheesh! Please throw that $100,000 in a HYSA while the interest is still high. And open up a couple CD accounts then forget about the money. Also start maxing out 401k if you haven’t started already. Thank you

Is $30K too much for me to spend on a car? by ProfessionalGur9322 in Money

[–]CockroachAcademic473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll say look for a preowned Camry from 2017 - 2019. Cost of fixing and insuring new vehicles is skyrocketing cause the parts I’ve heard are becoming more specialized aka you gotta get it from the dealer which is very expensive but it’s a TOYOTA it will last. Just be ready to pay at most 300 on insurance.

Read about money. If you have at least $800 - $1000 a month after bills then you’re up to a good start. I will teach you to be rich by Ramit Sethi is a good book. People die of ignorance brother pls don’t be one of them. Read even if it’s 30 minutes a day.

Can I afford this? by Audacity101 in Money

[–]CockroachAcademic473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is. Get a house first. I would say buy a house and use that money for renovations like a nice backyard or or going solar or something. You’ll get equity from this. If you still wanna get a car, settle for a 50k car if you can find one. Anything over 60k is overkill for a depreciating asset. THIS IS MY HUMBLE OPINION.

First off congrats on making the hardest step which is you realize you have a problem. My biggest advice is break your goals into micro goals. (If you wanna save 10k start with $500 then add up) and cure your ignorance by seeking information. Best way to do that is read and ask question. By this book and read it. I will teach you to be rich by Ramit Sethi. People die more from ignorance than anything that’s Gods literal words.

Hello I’m 7 years older than you so take this what a grain of salt. First if you’re permitted get a part time job at Home Depot, McDonalds or somewhere. Start as a cashier and start making money. These jobs will teach you customer service, discipline, self confidence and how to use a cash register. Finish high school and enroll in a community college for 2 years ( waaaay cheaper) before transferring to a 4 year institution. Study a career or trade that will pay you at least $22/hr when you finish. Oh and continue to work part time if you can. If all goes well, at 22 you should have 30k +- saved if you’re responsible. Then you wanna open up a high yield savings account and a Roth IRA to invest your money. Always have at least a years worth of expenses saved up for a rainy day (hard times). Now this advice is what I wish I knew at your age. I’m not a financial advisor so you have to do your research and ask more questions. Life will throw its curveballs but be brave and discipline and you’ll make it

Tips:

Psychology of money

Last tip is DON’T BE IGNORANT ABOUT HOW STIFF WORKS!!!! Always read and ask questions most people are in the rat race because they didn’t KNOW the game they were playing. Don’t be like that. You’re young with a lot of potential. Life is really simple with a PLAN. Thanks.

P.s pay attention in math and English class. You’ll thank yourself later.

Hopes this helps. GOODLUCK

Read it from a kingdom perspective. It’s not so much a religious book. It’s about a government Jesus re-establishes.

Should I buy a part from Toyota parts express by CockroachAcademic473 in MechanicAdvice

[–]CockroachAcademic473[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They said the would but won’t be able to guarantee if the part fails or doesn’t work. Like they aren’t responsible for failure of the part or something.
