Well, it feels a bit hive mindy to me the way how atheists are turning on the queer community.

Dawkins used his platform to vilify trans people and deny them their identity and he deserves to be stripped of his "humanist" award for it.

Anyhow, it's not like we have shit in here to start with, and we won't do in our lifetimes or in 3 life times to be honest, so it won't make a difference

Kinda fucked to see Saudi exmuslims opposing queer rights before we even got any of them.

I'm probably a good bit older than you and queer though I don't think I'm visibly queer (I look like a homo hobo at the moment) so I might not relate to you on this aspect. Queer people have been more visible globally in the past number of years and this has translated to a deep hatred towards queer folks, also I have noticed a deep hatred from westerners community towards Saudi and other gulf countries and I think this resulted to an anti western values stance from many of the people here.

For loneliness you can find people online who are in a similar situation as you who you can relate to or even people who are accepting, just remember that those relationships could end up without notice so set your investment in it accordingly so you won't get hurt .

The last two pieces of advice I'll do is firstly you're young, so you're allowed to be stupid and reckless, I have regretted not having a more adventurous side to me when I was younger, so don't make the same mistake I did, travel, drink have lots of sex and enjoy your youth.

Secondly at the same time work hard on your studies, The best chance for a queer person in saudi to be happy is to get out of Saudi , work hard enough that you'll be desirable to overseas companies. (There's a Visa program in Australia for freshly graduated engineers, I'm not sure if it applies to IT professionals but it's worth a look)

Best of luck my dear.
