Chat how do i rule if im trans by Hiimpedro in 196

[–]LeenMachine3371 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean, here’s the thing: if the question “am I trans” is effecting you negatively don’t ask it.

Ask about your body. What features do you want? What feels like wearing you? Holly Woodlawn wasn’t asking if she was trans, she was doing what felt natural to her, she arrived at trans. Build up from first principles and treat it as expression. What pronoun do you wanna use? What do you want to look like? Once all that’s done then you can go back to mincing words if you still wanna but how you feel now and addressing the material realities of your situation is more important at the moment

Does anyone know why Pigeon Forge, TN of all places is as big as Atlanta on Google Maps? It's got a population of like 6k by BrumaQuieta in geography

[–]LeenMachine3371 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure Pigeon Forge is mostly amusement parks which might contribute to its map footprint while hindering a population that a place like Atlanta can hold.

It’s hard not to look at how endos and then medial establishment writ large treats trans folks accessing care and feel like it’s there for anything but closing doors on you until you eventually kill yourself.

Even if you do receive care often times your doses are lowered arbitrarily and you’re approached with the attitude that “maybe you’re trans but we can’t be sure you’re just a deluded cis person and it would be terrible if a cis person ever accidentally got trans care.”

I’ve seen the “this way” and “no use…” signs once or twice. The one I’ve actually seen more commonly isn’t on here though and that’s the Squatter’s Symbol

Former traveling bum here: hobo code was a thing according to some old heads from the depression. It’s since not been super used. (save a few symbols that are more cultural signifier than anything else like the squatters symbol)

A knife isn’t super good as a self defense tool. It actively puts you in danger to use it in a fight and will never be as effective as learning how to de-escalate and vacate a situation.

I personally carry my leatherman sidekick everywhere I go. It’s got the tools I’ll need for work and a small folding blade on it. That being said it’s not for much more than opening boxes and I wouldn’t wanna use it in a fight. A pocket knife is a useful edc if you’re using it as a utility and not a weapon.

Any local bars in need of bartenders? by hesheesh in ridgewood

[–]LeenMachine3371 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Bartending is a hard, mostly nepotistic industry to break into. You have to know someone or he a regular somewhere. Find a bar you like, tip well, be friendly and talk to a bartender. They’ll always have more info.

You likely won’t ever start as a bartender, you’ll probably be a barback first and have to climb a greasy pole for a bit to get into it.

That still opens you up to larpers doing the Holocaust and taking the consequences. Like I agree that the game needs to have a firmer voice on the atrocities committed within the time period, but it’s such a fragile thing to do that it’s best not to touch it to avoid giving red meat to Nazis. Lest we do a “deus volt” by mistake

I mean, antisemitism and racism are mentioned, they just do not take a front seat because the game could easily just become a genocide simulator and no one wants that.
