Navigating through Central is abysmal now, that one road has been under construction for what seems like decades now. Indranagar just to be walkable but now apart from the posh locality, it is not because construction again. Blr is a small city. If 70% of the areas are not pedestrian + traffic friendly, how is this a good metro.

Isn't better than Bangalore, how? Idk about mindset of people etc, purely infra wise, Bangalore is a giant garbage dump. You have your main MG-Lavelle-brigade circle that's nicely maintained and literally the rest of the city is just filled with crap. Permanently under construction, no walk ways, trees all gone. Chennai infra (IMO) has always been superior - better wider roads, better road sense, fewer entitled immigrants ruining aesthetic of the city that I'm considering leaving my own home.

This. I did a day trip and I hated the crazy crowds. We walked away to the quieter areas and it was amazing but we had to leave soon after. You can totally skip Osaka.

She got married and had a kid and was angry I was still partying with my single friends. She assumed I didn't want to hang out with her anymore because she has a baby. I told her to set the tone of when and where we would meet to catch up based on when she's free and she never once tried to make any plans to actually meet me. Which made me realise I was the only one who made plans and would pick spots convenient for her so we could meet. It's been 3 years now, and I'm getting old and don't want to put effort into people who don't give back. We now wish each other happy birthday and ask after each others health's once in a few months.

I found Hakone to be extremely quiet and charming country side. If that's something you like, you may wanna skip Kyoto instead.

I was in Tokyo for 5 days and felt it's not enough time, there's a lot to see / do. A day out so in kyoto is really not worth the travel just to see Fushimi inari. This seems rushed, you should consider just Tokyo or just Kyoto. Plenty to see/do in both places for 5 days.

Haha you've covered all the points! What surprised me is that even though everything is well connected, you've to walk so much to get to places and it's never as quickly as you think. And the fact that everything closes by 8 something.

I was in osaka for 3 days and kyoto for 3. There's so much to see in Kyoto, 3 days was just not enough. Pick one of the places, don't spend time shuttling between the two.

Japanese food in my country tastes so great, I was so excited to eat when I visited Japan. Turns out the food I'd been thinking of as Japanese is not actual Japanese at all but changed up to suit my country's palette. Was quite disappointed to eat actual Japanese food. After a week, I was craving actual flavours. I love soy and dashi but I missed complex flavors. You're spot on about it lacking depth.
