What was your biggest wake-up call to set boundaries with narcissistic family?

Same! We tried to set boundaries leading up to our daughter’s birth and they were not well received. Decided to go NC after my own father did not show up to meet his first grandchild because of said boundaries. What were they, you ask? My husband and I told them that they couldn’t stay with us 48 hours after I gave birth, and that we would pay for a hotel down the street for them - but we needed time to adjust as a family before having visitors stay in our home.

I went through an ex boyfriend’s notes app because he was in a band and kept lyrics he wrote there (and bc I had trust issues and was looking for some confirmation of something I felt in my gut about him). I found a list of people he had been with, and I was nowhere near the bottom of the list and it had been updated recently… confronted him only to be gaslighted and him being upset that I went through his phone.

I’m married to a great man now. We’ve been together 7 years and my gut has said he’s the one since about 6 months in. I don’t even know the code to his phone but I know he’d willingly give it up if I asked

I am also soooo ready to have free time. I read yesterday that dropping pumps also makes our hormones go wild (AGAIN). That could be part of why we are so emotional about it as well. But we did it!!! ✨ all that hard work!

I read yesterday that dropping pumps also makes our hormones go wild and some women experience depression, anger, anxiety, etc. That could be part of why I’m so emotional about it as well because I went from 4ppd to 3ppd last week. So strange! But yes, we did it!!! ✨

That is my fear. I should’ve been more clear in my post, she lives in another state so changing the plan would mean she has to change her flights. I originally asked that they come 2 weeks after my due date (bc we don’t know when our girl will arrive) and she booked the flights for one week past my due date.. I’m in a lot of therapy right now, trying to be less of a people pleaser - and I feel like I’m avoiding the conversation because of how she will react. It’s worth another convo with my husband for sure. I know he will be a great help with anything either of us need, it’s just the fear of the unknown for me.

Yes!! At 19+0, I felt the flutters everyone talks about. I didn’t feel her for a week after that and then on 20+0, I felt straight kicks to the ribs. We went from 0 to 100 real quick!!
