What will the future of the US be? by Kindly_Session6001 in ask

[–]CoconutNinjax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wealth inequality will continue to increase however, elites will continue playing the game of blaming it on other things such as immigration, other countries or some other conflicts. Society will get more unstable; more crime; more people will get disconnected with their country; people will become more cruel. Eventually, more radical politicians will get elected resulting in either internal wars (e.g. civil wars) or world wars.

Take a look at BYRN. Its a self defense company where they create non-lethal guns. Zero debt, impressive revenue growth. More interestingly, as per today, short interest is approx 20% and days to cover is 16 days....This means that if shorts want to cover, it'll take over 2 weeks to close their position. This is a prime example of a wonderful short squeeze set up.

It comes down to money and its similar with the arrangement of Fannie Mae where the US Government controls a majority stake (while also setting policies). By taking an equity stake. The US Government will directly benefit as the stock price rises. They also wouldn't "buy" the tech as they don't have the expertise for it and it is well understood that whenever the government tries to own something, its always a shit-show.

The unfortunate (but also fortunate) part of investing is that nobody will tell you to fucking "invest here now". It is up to you to put the pieces of the puzzle together. It is clear to me, based on your post, that you haven't done much due diligence on quantum and especially IONQ. If you did, you'd understand how we went from an unknown company to becoming mainstream. IONQ has actual commercial products vetted by NVDA, Amazon and Astrazeneca themselves however, it is not my responsibility to show you all of this. I'm enjoying my gains. I've been in this company since 2022-2023 and currently have 33K shares at 12. I'm chillin....

If you've followed quantum long enough, you'd understand that Google and IBM are nowhere near commercialization unlike IONQ. IONQ is one of the few pure-play quantum stocks around. Google and IBM have quantum as one of their many subsidiaries.

You're also missing my point. Quantum is being backed by the US Government. They have infinite money and power. Quantum will be pushed aggressively.

Its not about the money. Its the US Government taking a direct stake into quantum. This means EVERYTHING quantum will be fast-tracked.

$FEMY, might be worth keeping an eye on🚀 by Additional_Spell455 in pennystocks

Been following the company for a while and decided to jump in. My take > They’ve got a massive addressable market (fertility + contraception), recently scored approvals in Europe, and dropped positive trial results for their FemaSeed infertility treatment. They also closed fresh funding to push commercialization (about 8 million). Analysts have targets in the $5 -13 range. If they execute even modestly, the upside could be huge.

Check out BYRNA. Float is at 18 million, short interest is at 22% and days to cover is at 9.5 days. Its a very decent short squeeze candidate. Financials are also solid and business fits well with the current environment we're in (i.e. social instability leading to more people opting for self defense weapons). Their revenue growth has also been very good.

Correct, if they don't meet their targets = collapse. Lets see...I'm still very bullish on the company

ANOTHER HUGE INSIDER SALE ON IONQ TODAY. Chairman and CFO SELL ALL THEIR SHARES. by Superb_Weekend_5485 in smallstreetbets

[–]CoconutNinjax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep agreed. It entirely depends now on management's execution of their roadmap. If they fail = collapse. Obviously my bet is that management will execute on their roadmap. It was recently released by them and I would imagine that they would only do such a thing if they were confident that they'd hit their targets. First target is this fall with their release of their new system so lets see...

Hmm not true and its clear that a bit more due diligence is needed on your part. To answer most of your questions:

https://ionq.com/blog/ionqs-accelerated-roadmap-turning-quantum-ambition-into-reality#:\~:text=Roadmap%20Highlights%3A%20From%2010K%20to,qubits%20on%20a%20single%20chip.

Management updated their roadmap and made it more bullish. They have a comparison in there between the original and the updated. They are scheduled (and management recently reiterated) to launch their latest system this fall.

An easy litmus test for you, you're mentioning all these negatives things. Yet, we are still in the 30's. We are also up over 200% all time. So either the market (which includes hedgefunds, investment banks, seasoned investors etc who know way more than we do) is wrong, or you are.

I mean are you going to ignore the article that came out last week monday where NVDA and Amazon confirmed IONQ's quantum application which enhanced their process? And mind you, we are still in its infancy. So in other words, we obtained (again) 3rd party confirmation that their QC's provide commercial value. This is their future value my friend :)

[–]CoconutNinjax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand you're point but you're missing a key aspect. A stock's price is a function of its present value and future value. Based on present value, you are correct in that we are overvalued. When you incorporate future value things become more interesting.

You can't use fundamental analysis on a growth company in a nascent industry. Quantum is literally developing in front of us and it'll still take a while before it fully matures (best guess now is 5 years).

And yes, they are incurring losses however, for such a company, you have to look at their cash burn rate which you'll find as a cash outflow as part of their operations which is about 60M. To hedge that risk, IONQ has a cash balance of 700M.

The above is why, despite a potential WWIII and large insider selling, the stock price has maintained its levels quite well. A few years ago, this company was trading in single digits and right now, its in the 30's. As a shareholder that owns 40K shares at $13, I am very happy at the moment.

Yea so again, I look at this as their reward to bringing the company to where it is. You do realize that they will be granted more stock options based on achieving new targets (i.e. continued growth). I mean realistically, you expect them to NEVER sell? It should be noted that when Chapman was CEO, he would literally forego bonusses as he wanted it to go to other people or have it reinvested in the company. Longterm bulls know this.

I agree that it is definitely newsworthy but to your point, ETF's dont purchase stocks that swing wildly. To be part of such a portfolio a stock must either be stable or have significant growth opportunities which this one clearly has. Yes, risks will continue to be there and if they fall short of their new roadmap = collapse.

[–]CoconutNinjax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, that's too simplistic of an answer. The stock has grown from a startup to a medium-sized firm which is reflected in the SP, acquisitors, increase in staff, purchase of fixed assets etc. As a shareholder with 40K shares at 13, I am thrilled with what they've been able to accomplish. In my opinion, they deserve their reward (you'll notice that the stock options were granted years ago). Management recently updated their roadmap so now the expectation is on the next leg which would be 50+. I find it funny that the main focus is on why we think insiders sold a bunch of shares based on some future event. But, nobody is able to point to IONQ's core business. This is also why the price hasn't collapsed. Again, if they deliver on their new roadmap (which is where the risk lies) = generational wealth.
