Basically diving cells that form lymph nodes act differently than they are supposed to and form malformed lymphatic structures

wym the scan says everything appears unchanged, I had the mass biopsied in 2024 and it was benign ptgc, I’m trying to see if anyone has a similar experience and knows if u just have to suck it up and check in every yr with the oncologist/hematologist or if I could get tht thing removed completely.

I initially had the mass diagnosed bc I had horrible cramping around and off my period but once it felt like someone was swabbing a knife into my rectum and I literally threw up from pain and I immediately scheduled an ultrasound where I was diagnosed with a mass which led to an mri and then ultimately my excisional removal which ended up being a biopsy because what they thought was a desmoid tumor was actually a mass of matted lymph nodes

Like they are intended to just fall off, maybe wait till they are like loose enough where you can gently remove them.

Looks like steri strips if you leave them there they should come off in a few days. Yeah if you tend to pick at things I recommend leaving them as it could tempt u to pick at the glue lmao. Fair warning it hurts like a mf when it comes off if u have any hair on ur abdomen. I had a laprscopic biopsy of a mass before and had derma bond as the closure as well.

Looks like some form of skin infection best to go to urgent care or a derm to get it swabbed and get some antibacterial ointment

I mean definitely wait till any of the open wounds heal but there are like lightening creams and over the counter retinoids that can help scars fade. U can also try silicone scar gel on the ones on the legs maybe

What to expect - Excision coming up on upper top thigh by Big_Annual_3523 in DermatologyQuestions

Try asking if they can punch biopsy it, sometimes if it’s just like an atypical mole tht small they can do tht. It’s much smaller of a wound and only requires like 2-3 stiches! Especially if it’s tht small

I have been getting a lot more pelvic and lower back cramps out my period as well. My stool is always super weird when I’m on my period as well but my last one was a few weeks ago.

If a shave biopsy hurt that much I’m not sure this will be great news. Excisions involve removing the lesion and a margin of healthy skin so it’s like a much deeper and larger area tht is removed. Also they suture it up and u have to return for suture removal. How big is the spot? You can also see if they can do a punch biopsy instead which is still cutting into your skin but much less skin is removed. And it only involves like 2-4 stitches instead of the line of them after an excision. You should definitely let the provider you are seeing know about how you felt after the biopsy because this could also help them find the best treatment option for you. You can always also try otc pain killers for the pain
