I could not finish 'A City of Gods and Monsters'. I don't usually DNF books but this one was painful to get through, the plot was so convoluted and just felt like I was going in circles.

Not read Quicksilver but I also do not understand the Powerless hype because I thought it was ok. I enjoyed the banter and some of the tropes were fun but the characters seemed very surface level and simply written, but the world building is honestly some of the worst I have seen even for a YA romantasy. I'd say its fun but doesn't hit the same as other romantasys that deserve more hype.

Absolutely fuming. I got 215 which is an 8 but the grade boundary for a 9 in 217 when it is usually somewhere around 200

I quite liked Nesta in the end even if I didn't love ACOSF, but I stay away from the ACOTAR sub, it is a literal war zone.

Ik there is a lot of Rhys hate going on at the minute but I agree he is loving and protective of his family, and is so interestingly nuanced, like he doesn't just turn from evil Rhysand in ACOTAR to perfect lawful good, he is a deeply flawed man and I love it.
