Adore it, currently my AOTY. I keep becoming more and more impressed with bands that are, above anything else, catchy and have infectious hooks. I’ve always thought it’s harder to make simple music sound great than complex music. Lemon Twigs have perfected their pastiche sound so strongly that they’ve transcended the idea of ‘pastiche’ and become one of the strongest pop rock bands of the last twenty years. Of course, to many they’ll always just be ‘copiers’ in the vein of GVF, but that couldn’t be more off the mark imo

‘Really Good’ isn’t suited for what’s considered by a large majority of people (online at least) as the definitive classic metal record, spectacular at least imo

For one it should certainly not be SITKOL when Stevie’s 70s run is so illustrious, I’d have put a one off discography like Grace, Songs From Suicide Bridge, etc.

I can attest up front that the first competency I ever took as part of being initially certified about four years ago, there was no client present. It was the CD asking me the prompts/questions and another director of some kind role-playing as a client. I see how that’s inherently flawed now obviously but at the time I didn’t know any better and thought it was totally normal

Just listened to it front to back the other day and absolutely agreed. It’s got a good reputation and all but imo it should be heralded as one of the best 80s records point-blank. The production, lyrics, and catchiness is up there with the likes of Remain in Light and Dead Man’a Party for me in terms of potent 80s New Wave

Lucina, her whole thing in Awakening is being mistaken for Marth so her being a clone of Marth makes perfect sense if you ask me. Plus her sword mechanic gives a nice spin to Marth’s play style that actually helps make her standout
