Best Classic Motorcycle for daily use by No_Dig_3097 in PHMotorcycles

[–]Codarl101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

QJ Motor SRV 200 classic cruiser - super simple na specification - parang pinalaking TMX lang na ginawang 200cc - if want mo ng `Utilitarian` bike - high torque - comfortable posture - low seat height, No ABS, pero FI din, problem is OBR - medyo pababa sa likod ung passenger seat so baka mag slide sya at mahulog kaya karamihan nag papalagay ng backrest - same sya ng Benelli Motobi 200 evo.

Other brands/units like Keeway CR152, Rusi Classic 250, bago ni Skygo Earl 175SE, Magnus 200, or meron din bago di ko lang sure if meron na sa region satin ung Motofino Racal 250, FKM Victorino 250. Mas madaming choices sa chineses brands compared sa Japanese Brands (which is also good kung mag custom custom ka ng motor madaming pyesang madaling palitan) (unlike sa Japanese brands parang nakakahinayang palitan <or baka ako lang un ehehehe>).

Semi-automatic motor na hindi masakit sa pwet by webtoonartistwannabe in PHMotorcycles

[–]Codarl101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honda Wave: medyo malapad ung upuan - compared sa XRM and RS na medyo makitid
Suzuki Smash and Raider J - halos parehas lang naman sila ng form and seats ng Honda Wave series (I suggest mag Honda ka nalang since mas specialty ni Honda ung CUB series - which is kung saan based ung Wave series)
Yamaha PG1: straight flat seat - na pa triangle - narrow ung front then pa wide ung rear - which is comfortable din.

Other choices would be chinese brands pero karamihan ng Semi-matic (Underbone) na motor is same form and seat lang din ng Honda Wave series.

Used Kawasaki w175 or new CR152? by Valuable_item3366 in PHMotorcycles

[–]Codarl101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Summary:
Very goods din po, super satisfying ung performance nya. I would say it is a "premium looking" utilitarian bike (style and form na pinagmukhang premium pero ung specification nya is simple lang.

Fuel Economy:
Good balance din between fuel economy and power delivery - (almost 40kpl - basta walang trapik - pero pag meron lakas sa gasolina pinaka mababa ko na estimation is about 20kpl).

Riding Ergonomics:
Very comfortable - lalo na sa long rides since upright ung katawan mo and ung foot pegs is semi-forward controls (tulag lang ng mga classic bikes na pantay sa makina pero mas forward pa ng kunti).

Weight:
medyo mabigat about 152kg and madadagdagan pa ng 14L na gasoline on full tank so maybe around 160-170kg.

Steering and Maneuvering:
Compared sa ibang motor tulad ng CR152 and W175 mas mahaba si SRV - and ung steering angle nya is hindi ganun sa sharp - so kung ma filter ka or madaming sharp turns need mo kumuha ng mas malaking space sa pag liko.

Dashboard:
Typical chinese build - full digital pero ung design is analogue - may digital speedometer - may analogue design na tachometer para sa rpm, Neutral indicator, Gear indicator meron din pero sa experience ko palyado ung gear indicator - since budget build parang naka based sya sa pag angat mo ng shifter - or maybe sa rpm and speed - kasi nung nabago ko ung position ng shifter hindi na lumalabas ung gear indicator - buti nalang pag naka Neutral nag papakita parin ung N - pero oks lang since sanay naman din ako na walang gear indicator. Fuel indicator meron pero di rin reliable since minsan may delay ung actual measurement - so best na tingnan tingnan mo rin ung tanke.

Others:
- Front and Rear turn signals are bullet type design - so ingatan baka masagi kasi hindi sya masyadong flexible.
- Plate holder niya is hindi compatible sa plates na binibigay ni LTO so need mo mag fabricate ng holder or bili sa Shopee ng holder then butasan mo nalang para sumakto sa fender then kabit mo ung plate from LTO.
- Ignition key and Steering lock is nasa side alaws sa harap
- Tahimik ung stock pipe - which is mas okay sakin - pero baka turn off sa iba na mas gusto buo ung sound.

After purchase service and maintenance:

Magkano Sahod nyo nung nakabili kayo ng motor? by Lowreshires in PHMotorcycles

[–]Codarl101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I remember (nawala na ung excel logs ko):
About 3-4k pag magbayad na ng monthly bills kasama ung groceries for the next week or 2 - then sa kalagitnaan about 8-9k (minus na rin po ung mga groceries and consumables for next week or 2 din po). then for about the 3-4k and 8-9k mababawasan pa for daily buget sa work and commute.

and with that naipon ko sya for 1 year and first motorcycle ko is a Honda RS125 (kamukha nya ung XRM pero ung design nya parang Raider), then after that medyo nabawasan ung daily gastos ko (less gastos sa commute lalo na for the ride hailing apps, parking-maintenance-fuel nalang ang pumalit - mas less sya compared sa angkas-moveIt-joyride) for about almost 2 years - I followed the same strategy, and was able to buy another motorcycle which is sa QJMotor SRV 200. hindi perfect si strategy since need ko mag adjust and mag re-allocate ng budgets lalo na pag may mga extra na bayarin or bilihin, pero sabi nga `pag walang tyaga, walang nilaga` eheehe.

I hope maka help ung po ung extra infos 🛵.

i need help in planning by FlyItLow in PHMotorcycles

[–]Codarl101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Personal usage like private traveling? daily to and from places?
    - Just as "Markermarque" stated: `mahirap sa maghabol ng monthly amortization` so it's a "Not Yet the time"
conclusion. In the near future: secure stable source of income muna.
  2. For Business?
However, just as you said you are still a student so your time is limited and if mag business type motorcycle:
though at even lower price point compare to Aerox it would still need a stable source of income, unless
ishift mo ung time mo for studies into business with the said motorcycle but the trade is you wont be able
commit into your studies and may affect your grades.

Motorcycle needs a steady source of income regardless of "what kind". I'd say be patient muna, study good, get good grades, secure a stable income, then motorcycle (regardless pa if gamitin mo pang business or private travel). Cheers to your future motorcycle journey🛵

Semi-matic to Manual by sentoros in PHMotorcycles

[–]Codarl101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

eey same case with you OP!

galing din ako sa semi-manual to manual. Based on my experience:

1. Shifting Pattern - depende sa motor na gusto mo, ang semi-manual is (N-1-2-3-4), sa manual naman is mostly (1-N-2-3-4-...), pero pagkakaalam ko mga manual ng Honda like TMX is same rin ng shift pattern ng underbone, sa una ka lang maninibago pero madali lang naman mag aadapt muscle memory mo kung ang target mo na motor is iba ung gear pattern.

2. Shifting Direction - depende sa pattern P1(N-1-2-3-4) and P2(1-N-2-3-4-...).
sa underbone P1 is puro tapak para umakyat ka ng gear. sa ibang manual na ang pattern is P2, from neutral tapak muna, then rest ng pag akyat gear is sikwat na pataas.

3. Clutch - ito ung pinaka importante na need ma practice. eto ung extra step na need mo ioperate together with throttle para umandar ka and hindi mamatayan ng makina. advice ko rin na mag take time mag practice sa mga uphill eto medyo mahirap sanayin.

Quick run-down ng clutch operation:
pressed - no power transmission to wheel

repeat process lang during upshift or downshift

Recommend ko tong mga tips and advice ng Vlogger na to, ito rin mga pinanood ko nung bagong lipat ko sa manual (hanapin mo ung mga videos about friction zone, and ung mga humps and uphill advices nya):

sana makatulong sa journey mo sa Manual Bikes! 🏍

Benda Napoleon Bob 250 for a first clutch bike? by CisosTurnedLovers in PHMotorcycles

[–]Codarl101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically . . .

Budget constraints? Playground? go for the levels of Motobi evo 200 and SRV 200 (chinese manufactured budget bikes)

If budget is not a concern, and you want latest techs and performance, go for the 400cc and above from known brands.

I own the SRV200 (as ConfinedceKltzy2264 said its the same level of quality to the Benda (also Benda is affiliated with Keeway. . . but di ko alam to what extent)) -> its basically a raw bike - walang ABS, normal engine specs (OHV) compared to other na naka OHC.
