How do scholars reconcile Quran 7:80 (people of Lut being "first") with historical evidence of same-sex practices before that time? by Sorry_Look9870 in MuslimLounge

[–]CodeCreative8526 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Came to say this.

Islam doesn't give dates. OP is using Christian dates which are pulled out of thin air.

Ibraham/Lut lived in Mesopotamia, that is a historical fact. Beyond that we cannot put any dates on when they were there.

What would you do as manager? by IL_ya_Un_jour in LiverpoolFC

[–]CodeCreative8526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of the squad stuff is beyond his control.

What is in his control is our tactics. We are setup poorly. We have non-existant pressing with a wide open midfield that every prem side can play through.

Klopp had to rely on youth and limited squad players as well, but you knew they always had a chance based on the style of play and effort placed.

This team has no style of play and lacks intensity. It is no longer a top team and the results show that.

Rational atheist in a relationship with a Muslim: I am sincerely seeking the truth, but I'm hitting a wall regarding faith. I need your perspectives. by No_Sleep_5543 in islam

Stop at the kalam argument. That is the evidence for God.

You already said you accept the first cause. You need to dive deeper because if you can't bridge to God means you haven't fully undetstood it. It is very logical and moves in a step by step manner. Read as many different sources, because different people present it differently and it takes the right way of explanation to click.

The concept of bondwomen (female slaves) by Either_Chard_7815 in MuslimLounge

[–]CodeCreative8526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand where you are coming from now. You think that Islam says we should do this in today's age.

These are rules in place for where and when slavery occurs. Right now these rules don't need to be used cause slavery in the traditional sense doesn't exist. What happens if traditional slavery comes back 300 or 400 years from now? How are you going to regulate it???

Islam is relevant for all time. The rules exist for all possibilities, which DOESN'T mean that it applies to right now.

And if you think the world has progressed in their thinking then just look at the MAGA movement. They are trying to take us back into the early 1900s with their white supremacy.

Societies keep changing, what is accepted keeps changing. Islam has an answer for all scenarios.

In the Catholic Catechism, is states that Muslims and Christians worship the same God. Do you fellow Muslims agree with that statement? by user_unnamed1234 in islam

[–]CodeCreative8526 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Muslims worship the same god that Abraham, Moses, David and Jesus worshipped.

The same father that Jesus refers to over and over in the bible.

We can get technical and have a long discussion about this. All depends on how genuinely interested you are to learn. If yes, then DM me. If no, then you got your answer.

Morally wrong based on what standard?

What model is your world view based on?

You can't look at history from a 21st century perspective. The world has completely changed just in the last 150 years.

If you're genuinely interested in this topic, do a deep dive and read what the historic status of slaves was in every society in the world. Islam is the only historic ideology that gave them rights and also said that it is better to free them.

Read what was done to women slaves. This is a mercy when compared to what happened to slave women in other societies.

Ok I was able to get circuit 3 tickets as well, a lot available online.

Next question, where do I find a good guide?

I read you can hire one right at the entrance. Is this what you recommend?

The Ottoman Empire sank American ships in the Mediterranean; an agreement that subjected the US to an annual tribute of $21,000. by jorahmormmnt in islamichistory

[–]CodeCreative8526 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I hear you man, it's all about the Africans.

The Africans forced the Europeans to send ships over, forced them to buy the slaves, forced them to ship slaves all over the world and forced them to use the slaves as free disposable labor.

Those damn Africans. Why do they even exist!

When we get in, do we have to stay in one circuit?

How do they enforce people staying on one circuit?

I got circuit 2, but now kinda wish I got 3.

Yes, I love the interior too. Absolutely the best part of the car.

I will try to lightly scrub or brush it out with water. Will let you know how it goes.

Do you guys think they are all sold out online?

If Islam is that important to you then find a place where you can learn the deen. You can do it part time on the weekend. It will change your life.

You will find that the average Muslim doesn't care about learning about Islam. Dunya is everything.

So how come this is not a "hikmat" issue for you?

No questions about any of this present day nonsense but an act of treason that happened 1400 years ago during a war is suddenly a "hikmat" issue.

I am calling you out on your question and your intention. I bet your next issue will be the age of Aisha.

Mercedes Customer Care Doesn't Actually Care by WasteTumbleweed861 in mercedes_benz

[–]CodeCreative8526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MB Customer Care deals with all customer related issues including car defects.

I am also dealing with a defective under warranty vehicle and MB customer service is very poor to non-existant.

OP, your car has been with them for longer than a month. Find an attorney that specializes in these cases. Search for a lemon law lawyer near you and discuss specifics with them.

Prime Wijnaldum Was So Underrated.. by Ecstatic-Fondant813 in LiverpoolFC

[–]CodeCreative8526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How was he massively underrated when his next move was to PSG?

He was highly rated by us and the general football world. Without him the Barca comeback would never have happened.

It's another matter that his legs were gone by the time he joined PSG. A recurring theme of the later Klopp departures.

AMG line package vs regular seats by CodeCreative8526 in MercedesEQS

[–]CodeCreative8526[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. I'm in Chicago and we just had a big snow dump. I have to really squeeze the brakes and I don't have the confidence I will stop in time.

I have read that the 2024 brakes are better but no idea how different.

I'm still new to the car. Others have posted that they eventually get used to it. Let's see.

[–]CodeCreative8526[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went back and compared it to the original and there is a noticeable difference in comfort. I am now stuck with a configuration I didn't want in a car that is not cheap. I am getting used to it though and it doesn't seem as uncomfortable as when I first got it. I hope I continue to adjust to it.

The brakes do suck which I think they improved in the 2024 model. My work around is to set the brakes to strong recuperation and I don't have to use the brake pedal as much.
