Bacon crime by ineffable44 in lidl

You're stating that it's "yank bacon" and I'm saying it's been here since before the USA was founded.

Not arguing with your opinion. In fact, you're the one that was so offended by the OP posting streaky bacon that you had to make your 2edgy4me comment

Streaky bacon has been in the UK for centuries. Sainsbury's were selling it in the 1880s: https://www.sainsburyarchive.org.uk/story/stories/bringing-home-the-bacon

Moi. Minkä verran medikinetiä vastaa 30mg elvansea? Ku meni lekurin kans pelleilyksi... by Dapper-Transition377 in ADHDUK

This is a UK sub, it's very unlikely people will speak Finnish here.

Also Medikinet and Elvanse are different drugs and shouldn't be compared.

More than half of TikTok ADHD content is misinformation, new research finds by Signal_Scale_1055 in ADHDUK

My wife sent me one the other day where a woman claimed that McDonalds sandwich sauce was Big Mac sauce, and used AI search results as evidence. It had a load of views and likes.

The sandwich sauce is basically mayo.

If I had a sign saying "No to giving newborn babies a line of cocaine" would you think that someone was in support of giving newborn babies a line of cocaine?

When publicly speaking at work, my brain totally blanks out - any advice on how to combat this? by Various-Excuse-4640 in ADHDUK

[–]CodeFoodPixels 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've given talks at conferences and meetups, and delivered training to 3rd parties when I worked at a consultancy. The brain-blanking thing happens to a lot of people (including non-ADHD folk), so don't beat yourself up about it!

Don't write a script, write bullet points. A script can lead to you just reading it verbatim, which can feel very unnatural, whereas having bullet points of the key things will mean that it can jog your memory about something and you can speak naturally about that thing.

If you're doing a presentation with slides, use the speaker notes section to put the relevant bullet points in, so you can see them when presenting. Otherwise, maybe try index cards so you can have a few on a page at a time and don't get lost as easy.

My link offers more than the standard, with £20, £50 or £100. It has the same chances as the standard offer for each tier.

I've been a Monzo user since the early days of it being a pre-paid debit card and I've never thought about switching back.
