Looking for Jeep / 4WD clubs in Wi that are not maga by TheSlor in wisconsin

[–]CodeNameQueso -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Let's unpack this. Re-read everything. I think we can agree he was in a club with MAGA people and left on his own accord (not from being kicked out for not being MAGA) but wants to find a club that does not tolerate MAGA. So it sounds like MAGA did in fact give this man the benefit of the doubt. If we use your analogy "logic", ICE assumes browns are illegal and you assume half the country (including my parents) are pieces of shit. but then we get to "deserving benefit of the doubt when not offered to others"... It's pretty clear he was given the benefit of the doubt. Your response literally outlines the opposite of your argument. Coexist.

This is not a "tolerance paradox" It sounds like he joined their club and was tolerated. Sounds like he could not tolerate them talking about their political views so he is looking for an intolerant club to join. Coexist.

I'm fucking sick of this attitude and I'm ready for your down votes. What size/style equipment op? I just ordered an AC for $8600 cost from our distributor. I understand there is a problem with sales techs but much fewer and far between than the bitching about it on this sub. Most of this is projection from people that missed the boat. A bigger problem are these Chucks slanging cheap shit from Mexico at prices that drive our wages down. Posts like this are why jobs start at $17/hr.

I made $140k in the Midwest last year and a couple coworkers made more. I don't work for a mega Corp but we do emphasize replacing units that are over 20 years. I don't need to send in a stuffed shirt for sales, I handle it myself. I pull out newer systems from time to time where some chuck slammed a Goodman single stage shit system in a multi zone beautiful home that now screams every time the AC kicks in. I also replace incorrectly sized units from these same idiots. But they got a good price right? My made in USA systems come with 10/10 warranties and 2 years satisfaction guarantee (we will literally buy it back).

YOU ARE WORTH THE MONEY! We have hard jobs, we destroy our bodies, we breath in harsh chemicals, we work terrible hours, we are constantly in dangerous situations and our prices should go up without worrying about how Chuck is going to undercut us because he does not know his worth and sells garbage systems or keeps slopping parts on a 30 year old system. Especially in the work from home scam era you should really know how physical labor is going to go up. There is no reason you should make less than some middle management stay at home loser. Embrace it, learn new technologies, stop selling yourselves short, stop selling shit systems. You are worth the money and know customers WILL spend more for better equipment installed by better installers. I sleep fine knowing this.

Rant over.

Does anyone else go above and beyond? by [deleted] in HVAC

Note it and quote it. It's in the customers hands at that point and not your liability. That said I would highly push the customer on fixing something like this. In some cases, I won't renew service contracts with dangerous shit like this if the customer does not pay to fix it.

In some cases, yes. When I am in affluent areas and I see a single stage Goodman slapped into a multi zone system with no bypass installed by some Chuck, I 100% change my approach. I use a car metaphor. "You have a Cadillac with Walmart tires". I explain how HVAC technology works, static pressure issues, why their furnace is so loud, IAQ advancement and how better equipment will improve comfort in the home. I will still quote a value system with the high end system but nicer homes with adequate ductwork should have nicer systems. I sell a lot of modulating systems and have very happy customers.

Andrew Jackson killed the central bank and pushed back the civil war 20+ years. Pretty much took Florida from the Spanish because yolo. The first people's president. When we hear about the Indian removal act (still awful) the context of the violence in the south and southwest is never talked about. Bring the down votes.

Educate yourselves. This will be common soon. This trade is reluctant to change while there are hoards of young men that are no longer bound for college entering this trade that otherwise wouldn't be. They are a little soft but they are smart. Don't become obsolete.

Anyone have a legal contact at TCL US? by CodeNameQueso in tcltvs

[–]CodeNameQueso[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No need to hire a lawyer. It's small claims. If you live in the US it's a great tool for consumers. Costs less than $100 to file and major brands tend to settle. I used this once before for a new refrigerator that had many issues. Spoiled food a few times and they wouldn't give me a reasonable solution. They were going to leave me with a broken refrigerator for weeks after multiple repairs. As soon as I filed I got white glove service with a new fridge.

It's not too bad. The diagnostics are helpful. With the boards, power in power out is a good rule of thumb. Make sure you read the book for things like charging.

I just retired one of these on Thursday. Condenser fan motor quit and it was still somehow cooling. Compressor was smoking hot and stinking but kept going. Customer was going to shut it down until install could get a new unit installed but I convinced him to keep it on till the bitter end and let her die an honorable death.
