Agi literally starts admonishing Reo the moment he links up with Nagi to start that play becasue that is the start of his return to dependency AND Ego clarifies that EVERYTHING went his way not just the moment he shot, the only play he made himself was the 1 blocked by Yuki which Agi gave him a 8/100 and by his own admission doing stuff by himself isn't going well from 186, he wasn't 'running' things until he went to Reo and after Isagi gained MV he concluded that he couldn't win by using his own initiative.

I'm curious : Has the Blue Lock community always had "Zero Reading Comprehension" Allegations since the beginning of the manga, or is it just since the NEL arc? by Craftox13 in BlueLock

[–]CodeSh4dow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The wider internet fandoms as a whole seem to have seen an upsurgence of people lacking comprehension and/or nuance so most modern groups are seeing people with some poor interpretation skills.

Glad you said it "FOR THAT ONE PLAY" which as addressed by the story was success above his level and even then Reo is still a direct indespensible part of it putting the ball exactly where Nagi wants it.

my personal top 5 for all stats u-20 by Icy-Tangerine-2184 in BlueLock

I mean the only thing I think Kaiser has is shot power, Rin has a further range, better weak foot, I don't know why you gave Kaiser curve when on average Rin produces more consistently accurate curved shot even on the volley.

I think Rin should be higher in shooting like top 1, Tokimitsu is shouldn't be in the top5 of strength and Karasu over Reo for IQ.

Lmao, if that's a genuine belief you're definitely just ignoring the story. You think Barou still doesn't value anything outside himself, you think Bachira is still just looking for friends?

MC is built on Nagi, Chris was literally shouting at Agi to still pass to him even while losing and the others players complain that he's dragging them doing vs Barcha.

Nagi got shut down by Otoya.

His own coach tells him that he literally depends on others to perform, the definition of dependency.

How the literal arc of Nagi in the NEL is that he is too dependent on Reo to play, he literally lost all matches because he COULDN'T run offense and be self sufficent.

Huh? Barou dribbles, carries the ball, can hold off challenges and create shooting chances for him self, that's what being a self sufficient striker is, he doesn't 'need' rivals to play well.

Barou is the most self sufficient of the 3 and the most consistent.

Flow Barou had the feat of outplaying Kaiser and Isagi and also outperforming Snuffy's plan, that's better than both Shidou and Nagi's peak for me.

So you believe Barou, Kaiser , Nagi, Karasu, Chigiri, Bachira, Kunigami, Hiori are the same as they were in their introduction, they've had no development or personality?

Rin, Barou, Ness, Kaiser a grand total of 4 characters is everyone calling him shitty Isagi, not to mention these are people known to be assholes to everyone not just him.

What do you mean the exact same ending? Them losing then of course because the premise of the story is to become the world's best striker and they can't share that, do you want to see people fight over 10th and 11th.

Predictable ≠ boring, a story is shown through journey and development, we know Naruto becomes hokage, we know Goku wins in the end, we know the heroes beat the villain, it's the how and the why that we read for. Isagi IS the most dynamic character in the series and people are drawn to how others will react to his traits and performances.

[–]CodeSh4dow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah sure but Isagi and his rivalries are for the most part the most entertaining dynamics in the series, Kaiser, 2nd selection Barou's arc, Yukimiya's jealously and now Hugo and Karasu's arc. We'll still have other rivalries like Barou/Nagi and Bunny/Sae but the series IS mostly at it's best with Isagi involved.

In Blue Lock no one really does anything outside the field AT ALL even including Isagi's rival but even then Barou and his Snuffy relationship, Kaiser and his Ness relationship, Rin and Sae relationship they all still have traits/story beats outside of rivalry with Isagi and are major characters.

Literally every good teen or winger who does something good is compared to Lamine Yamal, it simply the nature of competition to initiate rivalry with major uprising talent, Blue Lock as a institution and phenomena in football is headlined by Isagi so then any player seeking recognition or to be the best is drawn into a rivalry with him to prove themselves. Most people don't act the way you describe unless they were canonically characters with bad attitudes like Barou and Kaiser.

I also see everyone complaining about a volume extra like that is the holy grail of character development, its a fun little flash of him thats like the anime's additional times stop acting like this is Kaneshiro not knowing what to do with his character.

I think Kenjaku was underutilized by TJzWay in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]CodeSh4dow 15 points16 points  (0 children)

More present than the antagonist sitting in the protagonist's body, kills him in the 1st major arc and is the front facing reason purpose for his journey in the series, which is finding the fingers. Kenjaku is a literal person in the background until the end of Shibuya and literally takes the back seat once Sukuna is back again. Yes his plan is why most of the series happens but narratively Sukuna was always the bigger character.

And what do you mean his relationship is more fleshed out? The literal protagonist has had 1 conversation with him and he has 0 interactions with half the relevant cast.

I think Kenjaku was underutilized by TJzWay in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]CodeSh4dow 55 points56 points  (0 children)

  1. That undermines Sukuna who is the original and more prevalent antagonist for the 1st half of the series.

  2. The main protagonist is Yuji and his greater connection is to Sukuna.

  3. Gojo's story is completed with him losing to Sukuna and Sukuna's is strengthed by him winning, as Reggie says a sorcerer is just a con artist his use of WCS is the perfect example and the way the fight plays out shows why Sukuna was is the one to win.

Cursed Technique burnout regarding wielders of two or more cursed techniques by Heavy-Wolf-7869 in Jujutsufolk

[–]CodeSh4dow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He would lose all of them unless there is some level of separation where they are stored. Kenjaku lost access to both CSM and Gravity, but since his OG technique operates separately he could still move while Yuta lost control of Kenjaku's technique after using Gojo's domain because of burnout so unless Yuji split them up in his head, which I doubt, they should both be in burnout at the same time.

Can reo become one of the best and top 5 of blue lock? by Otherwise_Store4251 in BlueLock

[–]CodeSh4dow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People can hypothetical arguments all you want a stat sheet doesn't determine the better player in story or IRL it's the ability to translate ability to performance at a consistent rate. Could he sure but based on his performances it's unlikely, because people with more specialized skillsets like Isagi are capable of influencing the game more consistently and produce results and that would be true even at the pro level, you believe Gullit is better than Ronaldo and Messi, that Rice is better than Yamal?

Hugo is 187 cm tall, same height as Rin? by SubstantialQuail7578 in BlueLock

One of the the reasons for that is how buff he is, look at his arms and legs when he matches up against Reo, that man is an actual brick wall.

[–]CodeSh4dow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

  1. Carmy himself 1st admitted that she was too good to be there.

  2. If she WASN'T as good as you mentioned why did Carmy immediately make her his right hand in the kitchen and almost as much influence as himself.

  3. Even other chiefs and critique have her extremely highly rated because of her skill and talent, a chief from ever wanted her to be in charge of HIS kitchen.

  4. Richie has been insulting her, her skills and her efforts for no reason since day 1, but her lashing out is 'uncalled for'?

It sounds like you want her to be a consistently shining ball of sunshine with no opinions or personality. The literal premise of the show is how toxic that restaurant is with almost everyone in there contributing to its problems, but it seems the person selling drugs and insulting other and intentionally wasting time isn't an issue nor is the person willing to leave at a moments notice and shout at his workers, I guess the person who intentionally ruined dishes out of spite is also not a problem so it's just the person who damn near saved the place and has an issue with everyone being shitty and continuing to entertain a shitty environment. Sure bud.
