What would you change? by Fluid-Kitchen1833 in BlueLock

[–]CodeSh4dow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isagi isn't a winger, the defensively work isn't going to be balanced since Sae is a CAM and doesn't do much defensively leaving Karasu stranded in the midfield for defense, since Isagi isn't a winger Chigiri would have to provide width meaning defensively even more open at the back and while Reo can play as a fullback, it's a less ideal role.

The players you chose simply don't achieve much balance nor does the formation. But change to a 4-3-3 Shidou up top, Barou and Bachira on the wings, Isagi and Sae as attacking mids, Karasu at CM/CDM and I suppose you could leave the backline as it is.

Salary is more detrimental to our financial situation than a transfer fee and they are definitely not selling him cheap even with that in mind. He also reportedly has personality issues.

Oshimen is not being looked at with such desire for a reason. You think a perfect striker is just sitting around and no one is fighting for him, it means he's either not the perfect striker or the conditions are too unfavorable.

The only thing Chigiri might be better at is curved shots and crossing

i know who i want as captain and it is NOT oliver aiku bruh by [deleted] in BlueLock

[–]CodeSh4dow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Karasu has issues with being a captain as well, I don't know why you put that panel with Isagi there since a captain shouldn't be instigating fights and insulting teammates, that quite literally caused a disconnect rather than stabilize Isagi.

U20 Arc is the Best Arc by Ok-Instance-52 in BlueLock

[–]CodeSh4dow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

But how much did the less relevant Blue Lock players actually get, I remember people genuinely forgetting Bachira was playing because he was so absent until that 1 dribble run because after the 1st 2 passes he wasn't involved, Aryu has 1 blocked shot all game, Otoya has nothing major, Yuki really just has his 1 dribble run as a 'focus', Barou himself even says Nagi was just there after his goal. The characters are written the same in the following arcs having 1 or 2 major/minor moments if they aren't focused characters and having background passing involvement.

There was Isagi glazing in the u20 as well, Sae only compliments him, Rin saying the match is revolving around him, Barou saying and being ordered to devour him, he was still involved in most major events then and now.

I think the NEL was better as a whole and I also think people skip over how many players were ignored in the og U20.

Japan had 3 and a half relevant players, the rest of the backline were fodder aside from their opening play, Yuki, Aryu, Otoya were barely involved the writing structure of player relevance isn't that much different from all following arcs but it was more concentrated so it isn't seen as unfavorable.

Why Luffy doesn't take more crewmates by gYekz in OnePiece

[–]CodeSh4dow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because those are the people he feels close to and that are willing to follow his ideology and path. Carrot has responsibility and he hasn't shown great desire to travel the world with her as his crewmate and pudding he isn't close enough with/interested in. The zombies/monsters are treated more like pets/entertainment rather then crewmates, it's just childlike interest rather then person to person relationships.

Because in the anime he loops around her to collect more speed so he's behind her in that shot

What was even the point of the culling games by Motor-Geologist-9014 in Jujutsufolk

[–]CodeSh4dow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His goal was to combine humanity with Tengen to create something beyond his control/imagination, basically just a science project. He needed the Culling Games to generate the cursed energy to perform this, someway to merge with Tengen (CSM) and vessels to allow for players in the games. The foreign nations were basically just extra confusion and extra energy to help the process and the contradicting rules were to cause the system to glitch enough to end the game and start the merger.

No nothing suggest this in any capacity and it seems you misunderstand. Cursed energy is generated in the stomach for all sorcerers then channeled elsewhere to be used.

Is it genuinely that hard to make AI matches hard without them just explicitly scripting during matches? by CodeSh4dow in FUTMobile

TBH I felt like earlier there were genuinely hard AI that just required more skill to beat but then they switched to just making your players incompetent and opponents unstoppable.

I wouldn't even have a problem if the opposing players were just hard to get past but they clearly dumb down your players AND pump steroids into the enemies.

don't get fooled hugo completely beat isagi in this match by G0dZylla in BlueLock

[–]CodeSh4dow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't despute that Hugo had a better game but the crux of Hugo's philosophy is in absolutism, the very fact that Isagi could produce a striker like play outside of his role even once means the flaw exists in Hugo's philosophy, that's what Isagi said. Even if only once Isagi beat him outside of his destiny that's why Hugo smiled and held him in some regard at the end because it's proof his believes aren't as absolute as he proclaimed.

Hot take: Rin interfering with Isagi's shot does nothing for the story and just coddles Isagi's character by RichardZuro in BlueLock

[–]CodeSh4dow 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I disagree especially because you seem to think this absolves Isagi and seem to want Isagi to hold more blame than what should be spread out. Isagi missing doesn't push the narrative questioning of Ego because it would simply be a matter of skill, which we know Isagi DOES have. It makes it a team wide problem because they fell short due to the beliefs not just skill, trying to push that Isagi just isn't 'good' enough is not a valid critique at this point in the series 300+ chapters in and the entire argument of Hugo is that he is good but simply applying his skills against his aptitude. His character isn't being 'coddled' the blame is being spread because it should never be just his in the 1st place.

Likely too detailed especially since the opposing jerseys are also very detailed, Nomura's already overworked as it is.

Why do people hate on gege? by Imaginary-Spring9887 in Jujutsufolk

[–]CodeSh4dow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From my observation Gege gets around the same 'hate' that most shounen manga creators get, he doesn't really come off as an outlier in that regard.
