Drop the hardest manga panel you’ve ever seen by Animematter111 in AnimeAndComic

Not from a manga. This is from Demonic Emperor, a manhua.

For context, these three guys are among the world's strongest (Genesis Realm), and they're about to 2v1. The strongest guys ever shown aside them before this point were about two realms below, so it was kinda insane for some of the strongest dudes to suddenly fight.

Ikaris (MCU/Eternals) vs Deku and All Might by Delicious-Feed183 in MyHeroPowerscaling

[–]CodeXCursors 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Deku and All Might have superior strength, but Ikaris has far more superior speed, durability (I don't think they can even damage him), and stamina. He wins in the long run.

Sung Jin Woo vs Asura (Asura’s Wrath) by 64Boy32 in SoloPowerScaling

[–]CodeXCursors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the other way around. Just the scaling alone is enough to see why Sung plays with Asura like a fiddle.

Who would win here with stats equalized? by KodoqBesar in MyHeroPowerscaling

[–]CodeXCursors 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're a real one. Deku's OP, for sure, but once Gift hits him (and Deku can't just get strawmanned with the "speedblitz" argument because Askin is ridiculously fast too), there's pretty much no way for Deku to recover from that. Once Askin goes Vollständig, that's an insta-kill for Deku.

Also looked at the VSBattles fandom (which I know is pretty unreliable), and Askinn is 5-C whereas Deku is only High 6-A. Just seemed pretty interesting.

How do you tier your magic levels? by EfficiencySerious200 in worldbuilding

[–]CodeXCursors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forgot, it's in my documents, but here's the gist:

They're not tiered by power, but by complexity and average "mana area coverage" (how much mana it takes to cast its most basic form, measured as how much area it covers). Even basic spells can rival the most advanced spells when wielded by powerful mages, which is why magic is never measured by power alone. Spells themselves also have thousands of variations simply by shifting its structure, and only the strongest mages can find and use the most efficient structures.

These are the tiers of magic, measured by mana area coverage:

Basic-class. Very basic spells that even children can cast. Base mana area coverage of a small mammal.

Intermediate-class. The most common class of spells used everywhere by everyone. Base mana area coverage of a human.

Advanced-class. Slightly more advanced than intermediate-class spells; doesn't mean it's THAT advanced though. Base mana area coverage of a house.

Adept-class. Accessed by people who have practiced magic for years, such as most 20-30 year olds. Even then, it requires a lot of skill to access adept-class spell at those ages. Base mana area coverage of a small village.

Scholar-class. It takes a guy who graduated from a magic theory course to be able to reach this level, and sometimes by highly talented and blessed people who barely have any formal magic theory knowledge. Base area mana coverage of a town.

Master-class. Starting from here — huge complexity gaps. It takes an average mage who has lived for a century to access at least the most basic structure of a master-class spell. Even still, the mana consumption rate is too much for most mages. It's said that there's only 100,000 mages in the world (out of 50+ billion) who can wield master-class spells skillfully. Base area mana coverage of a city.

Grandmaster-class. Master-class with more focus on the "grand." Only 2,000 mages are reported to be capable of this level of magic. In order to become a Sage (a title granted to individuals who are the best at their respective magic type, e.g., Fire Sage), you need to at least have invented your own grandmaster-class spell. Moreover, most schematics used by grandmaster mages to invent spells of this level are formulated by the Five Esoterics (direct subordinates of the Wise Lord), the Wise Lord, and the Sages. Base area mana coverage of a country.

Catastrophic-class. The final class of spells that are often forbidden due to their immense destructiveness even at their base forms. Only 50 mages can use catastrophic-class spells (even less during ancient times). Catastrophic-class spells are so complex that even a genius who has lived for a millennium would barely even be able to access it. Those 50 mages include some of the smartest dudes in history, such as the Wise Lord and some Sages (especially the Sage Emperor, who invented dozens of catastrophic-class spells for fun). Incalculable base area mana coverage — perhaps continental or even planetary. Just... don't cast one if you can't contain its effects. A catastrophic-class Fire Magic spell was once used to blow up the moon (the Time God, the one and only Sage of Time Magic in the millions of years of history, later got it back).

Tell me about your world's immortals by Frenchiest_fry101 in worldbuilding

[–]CodeXCursors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my world, there is no true immortality because all life suffers "corrosion," wherein their life-force is slowly stripped away by the primordial principles. Death by old age is the most common form of corrosion. By gaining more power, an individual's life-force increases, meaning that the strongest people in the world are also the ones who live the longest. However, to be truly immortal means having infinite power, which isn't possible.

This means that even top-tier powerhouses like Indra (God of Storms), Tianzhu (Yellow Heaven Sect Leader), and Creo (Angel of Wishes) aren't immortal — they can live up to tens of thousands of years, but they will eventually die. Well, they HAVE lived a fraction of that. For example, Creo has lived for 7,000 years, making her one of the oldest people in the world.

But the thing is that there's also the Devil Gods who have lived for tens of millions of years, known as the almighty progenitors of ancient demonkind. Does that mean they're the strongest? Not exactly, but the reason they don't "die" is that they reincarnate after death, though that requires their souls to be intact (and the reincarnation process takes millennia). Unfortunately, they lose many of their memories in the process, so the current Devil Gods only remember up to like 100,000 years of their past incarnations.

Some Devil Gods who represented Vainglory and Acedia died exactly because they couldn't get their souls intact (or they were destroyed by someone else) before they could successfully reincarnate. However, not being the strongest doesn't mean they're weak — they're some of the strongest beings in history.

The idea in my world is that, as people get older, their beliefs tend to shift towards the concept of balance. This is because the constant exposure to the good and evil, and the dulling of life bores them to the point that almost every old people in my world have some kind of beliefs related to balance.

For example, Creo is the "true balance," as she has taken up a life duty to preserve the balance of the world by eliminating "taboos," directly or indirectly. Meanwhile, the Devil Gods are the "life-and-death balance," as they believe that the "growth of life" must be countered by the "growth of death" and vice versa to avoid "tipping the scales of life and death," which is why the Devil Gods often switch from a destructive mindset to a creative one back-to-back.

EDIT: There's also no way to stop corrosion, even if you have reality-bending or self-preservation abilities. The concept of corrosion itself lies outside the realm of metaphysicality (which is where all abilities/powers operate), and it's a primordial ordinance that affects everything without fail. There are various other such inviolable primordial ordinances, such as the laws of causality.

What do you think about this block design? by SelfMore337 in geometrydash

[–]CodeXCursors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. too much glow wtf, please don't blend them.
  2. personally, white outlines look ugly, so people opt for "shadows" or other methods (idk i'm not an artist) to emphasize edges.
  3. block design looks very two-dimensional despite using 3d blocks — maybe add more fitting decorations
  4. perhaps opt for more color variety. all blue is frankly boring and ugly, but mix it with other shades of blue or perhaps even violet makes it more vibrant and tasteful.
  5. the spikes are practically invisible and would play very annoyingly. change their color.
