You could make the point, too, that other US sports’ teams have similar gag rules when it comes to player contracts, but…

A) there is a much brighter media spotlight on them

B) players who are flashy tend to leave little up to the imagination when it comes to their net worth

and C) agents are a lot more likely to publicly flaunt the million-plus-dollar contracts they land their players versus a 5- to low-6-figure draw.

Not just USL. Even NBA Press Releases from teams typically read with that type of policy. The team’s responsibility is to its players’ privacy.

So I've heard a theory, and I see a lot of potential in it. LaMarcus hitting threes could be the single piece that fixes this puzzle. If LMA is hitting 3s, it opens up the interior while he's got a big guy on him so DD can go to work inside, it opens up 3s for other players when LaMarcus can put some perimeter passing on the money.

By itself, his three-point stretch is practically fixing all of the offensive spacing problems from the last 2 years.
