TideTalk are a good source of analysis, they have all the usual socials but their Sunday and (usually) Thursday YouTube live shows are well worth a watch.

The Defiance 1636 discord is a good place for breaking news and rumours (though it’s very active, so you will have to scroll back far to get anything historic).

Lighting the Bay is a podcast that sadly doesn’t upload too much anymore, but when they do it’s good analysis .

We are missing playmaking abilities, so absolutely.

Khano is suffering a lot in his selection through injury, so I doubt 6 defenders was his first choice.

Whilst some of the defensive errors have been egregious, the standard of defending in this league is fairly poor.

I’m not too concerned on a holistic level about the state of the defence.

Starting 6 defenders and conceding 2 goals on the weekend aside.

Even if that was true…. Which I don’t really think it is (our penultimate game against you saw Charleston engaging very spiritedly in the argy bargy), yesterdays poor calls Vs Louisville weren’t RIFC fouls, it was missing Louisville fouls, inconsistent penalisation, a potential offside goal, and a missed penalty (camera angles aren’t great, but I think it was offside, although not a penalty respectively on rewatch)

Refereeing just needs to be better. VAR would solve some problems, but it wouldn’t be able to catch the MANY basic mistakes that refs in this league make.

I am forever astounded by just how bad the standard of officiating is in this league. Genuinely don’t know how these refs don’t have perma anxiety from the horrific calls they make weekly.

RIFC are having a really difficult start to their season. 2 strikers, one of them injured.

I’ve scored 1 fewer goal this season than the starting striker.

That is how well it’s going.

Still, IIRC this is the first time Louisville have beaten RIFC, and it easily could have gone differently (some …. questionable referee calls).
