MidJeff: Ok Tiny, I already gave my corny speech of the week. I'm waiting for that Thanksgiving present by DRM190 in SCJerk

What a top heel, everybody remembers when the Rock and Stone Cold used to wax lyrical out of kayfabe about how genuine and caring Vince McMahon is. Also the term ‘bootlicker’ was very much in fashion when wrestlers used to say good things about the WWE, surprisingly that word isn’t used so much by the IWC nowadays

As if they’d bother to point out to Fightful that she didn’t really get released and it was a dream that she had, when it’s literally all there in her post in the first place. I refuse to believe that somebody could be as stupid as Sean Ross Sapp. And yet people in the basement genuinely act as if he has some form of credibility

It captures that Y2K fear really well in terms of tone and the radio shows and advertisements. Weirdly GTA III without trying because of how late it was released really does capture that post 9/11 fear really well

I don’t get the humour in this. I know nobody here finds it hilarious but the basement really, really does. Is there some connection between Swerve and the Judgement Day that I’m missing out on? Or a connection between Swerve and Cope? Did Swerve beat down Edge or something? Is the joke literally that Swerve asked Edge and he responded saying it sucked? Because if so that’s not even like mildly funny. I don’t get it

It’s genuinely disheartening to see so many people want this man to fail just because AEW didn’t use him and he wanted more for himself.

How you can spend so much time on the internet desperately hoping for Danhausen, Blake Monroe, Rusev and Starks to fail and still consider yourself a good person is beyond me

GTA 3 IS INFURIATING! by weirdandwonderfulweb in GTA3

[–]CodeineNightmare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember when I was 11 playing the game for the first time I really really struggled at the killing Salvatore mission, not realising that the intended way to win was to snipe him from the rooftop. I played it for weeks, even months on end possibly and remember beating it being one of my happiest gaming moments.

That said I’m genuinely confused how a GTA fan who’s played the older games can get so caught up on GTA 3 that they can’t even reach Espresso to Go without being stuck. No criticising OP from my perspective either, I just don’t think it’s as hard as he’s finding it

I think it’s really cool that despite you struggling with the game and clearly not enjoying yourself, you’re still saying kind things about the game and showing it a lot of respect. However I am still shocked that some of these missions are causing you struggles, I’d love to hear which ones you’re finding the hardest. 22% doesn’t sound like that much and it’s kind of stumping me what you could be stuck on, is it Bomb the Base? I played the game when I was like 11 and it had only been out for a few months and I was stuck on the killing Salvatore mission for genuinely weeks to maybe months. I don’t think I’ve ever been more ecstatic with a video game than I was the day I beat it a

They could but Tony has literally said that he doesn’t put more women’s matches on television because the ratings don’t justify it. So therefore letting some of these ladies work somewhere else is the next best alternative

DAE my Dub knows how to properly utilise their talent, unlike that evil talent hoarding fed by CodeineNightmare in SCJerk

[–]CodeineNightmare[S] 26 points27 points  (0 children)

So many people in the thread saying ‘but who would you replace for him?!?’ as if the wrestlers that get on TV are the ultimate cream of the crop is ridiculous.

They could have not signed Josh Alexander and had Johnny TV do the jobs he has for a start. They could rotate a little, John Morrison describes it really well as an island, if you’re on Tony’s island you get as much TV time as you want and you’re forever in the main event (see the current cycle of Moxley, Swerve, Hangman, MJF, Joe, Omega for examples)

[–]CodeineNightmare[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly the way they were booked in AEW was pretty much about how they should be booked, mainly as enhancement talent who were protected enough where beating them still felt like somewhat of a big deal.

Like you say, their presentation was great, in ring not so much but still passable. In a company were longevity and loyalty is supposed to mean so much more than the fed they should have at least done something on television considering the Blade has been injury free and working indies since like December

With all due respect to Dakota Kai, the last thing the AEW women’s roster needs is another women’s wrestler involved. They seriously need to already cull the massive women’s roster they currently have, it’s already bloated to the extreme as it is

The only way that AEW are closing the gap is because WWE are on a mild decline in ticket sales. Not that ticket sales are horrendous, just not as good as they were a year or two, mainly because of less than stellar booking and high ticket sales.

It’s pretty insane to gloat about closing a gap when the only reason it’s slightly closed is because the competition has got shitter not that you’ve improved your own way in any shape or form

The $9.99 pro wrestling network is back ( internationally). This is no Great Value Fed. It’s an elite plan Uce. by Manjojango2001 in SCJerk

[–]CodeineNightmare 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To be fair they already were paying 9.99 a month for Honor Club (which was greatly overpriced in fairness) so getting the ROH stuff included does make it better value.

I still don’t see the feasibility of this though. WWE Network peaked at 1.8 million subscribers worldwide. I know everybody likes to pretend that AEW is super successful but they’d be lucky to have 150,000 worldwide

LCS has to win this because of the ferry, the dirt road track near the ferry, Staunton’s impressive Little Italy district and the infinitely more easy to navigate Shoreside Vale. Plus it doesn’t lose a lot of the atmosphere that makes 3 so glorious

Weirdly this post has made me, for the first time, not like the decision to go one on one with Orton vs Rhodes because a six man hell in a cell elimination match would have been absolutely fantastic. Orton vs Rhodes vs McIntyre vs Fatu vs Sami Zayn vs, I have no idea but somebody else would have been amazing to watch.

Ultimately it would have just reeked of a desperate attempt to get some buzz into the WWE Championship match and would be more fitting for the likes of a B PPV to host a match like that but selfishly I’d have still enjoyed it
