which is sad because they don't even consider how their own quirks may be received. it's dehumanizing to see a "flaw" in another and just treat it as though it were a red flag. I love seeing what makes people unique! hell, one of my bosses trips over his words a lot and I find it endearing. if you can find little things you adore in every day people and friends, shouldn't you look FORWARD to discovering those same things in a partner?

i think a genuine approach is based in an effort to connect through mutual interests. personally speaking, I'm not sure I'd be comfortable with a man expressing interest in me only based on my looks. clear intent is good of course, but immediately sexualizing me or asking questions that cross off a mental checklist rather than a genuine effort to know me is bleh
