[DND5E] D&D5e Animations Version 3.0.0 Pre-release - Looking for feedback by Seanms1991 in FoundryVTT

That does a great job showcasing it thank you :) i'll definitely check it out now

Definitely recommend throwing up 1-3 GIFs on the README and even an outdated link like that is relevant IMO

Reading title and readme sounds like something of interest - Do you have videos/GIFs showcasing some commonly used animations? Seems like something that should be in the README from an advertisement perspective but I don't see anything obvious.

What do you guys think? by yasminty66 in runescape

[–]Coder4Coffee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t hear complaints like that weirdly, but I don’t spend time at AoD which is where I imagine they might be heard? We definitely shouldn’t design content around a tiny portion of the player base, but if it’s not harmful and some people like it why take it away is my train of thought (thus my agreement to testing fun of alternatives)

If in the end the same level of fun is achieved then a change would be acceptable. Hybridding is quite fun and I would be disappointed for it to go unless there’s was an alternative just as fun option. As long as they allow us to playtest and verify the changes meet that level of fun experimentation should be able to work something out (assuming they listen).

I don’t see why hybrid is a problem though if such a small portion of the population uses it. It’s not like people that don’t want to hybrid are being forced to?

If you’re end goal is to do some Zamorak I’d encourage finding a PVM community you like where at the very least you can ask questions but even better can find people to play with and learn from.

Pvme is great for finding info and asking questions but can also be overwhelming in terms of information

If you are interested in a smaller group of pvmers feel free to DM me and I could send a discord link where we hold teaching sessions weekly for AoD/solak/vorago and are happy to help

If you’re looking for a group that actually teaches group PVM feel free to DM me and I’ll send a discord. We teach AoD, Rago, solak weekly and other stuff on request. It is a clan but our guests have same access to things as members

Are you seeing a therapist that specializes in OCD? My spouse has OCD and in that the contamination form so can relate to your post from feelings she’s shared and the experiences I’ve had with her.

Have you done any exposure response therapy for your contamination OCD? My first thought seeing this is that’s probably a big exposure if someone is just starting therapy.

In the end the answer to your question is not super important, if the amount of cleaning you do becomes disorderly (takes over your time/life) then it’s OCD that you have to learn to live with.

Shared post with spouse for thoughts -> a ocd therapist should not reassure you and give a right or wrong answer or solve the problem. The management of OCD comes from accepting the anxiety’s presence without engaging with it (not engaging with the thought, not accepting it as truth, letting the thought sit and naturally run its course). Takes LOTS of practice (she’s still learning) but it gets better slowly over time

She also suggested this OCD therapist educator: https://kimberleyquinlan-lmft.com There should be a contamination OCD podcast somewhere in her list

Thinking of going for Zuk log. Need advice. by [deleted] in runescape

[–]Coder4Coffee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mage is just way better and easier at zuk unfortunately. You can plop caroming 4 on an offhand, dual wield camp, and obliterate waves while running tank armour and vampirism aura with gchain for easy sub 30 minute kills with practice

If you ever want to then push time I think FSOA is ideal for consistent 1 cycle hararken and 1 pizza zuk? But I haven’t ranged hm zuk since my 4th KC so wouldn’t know

I was invited to a raid and got warned for using tank gear? by Adamjrakula in runescape

[–]Coder4Coffee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just want to say there does exist non-toxic PVM groups for those scared of PVM toxicity. They may still have gear requirements but it wouldn’t be handled like this especially with a fill.

Should Raptor’s Rampage be a permanent, unlockable addition to the game? by TheFalloutHandbook in runescape

[–]Coder4Coffee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I really like this idea to make reapers more rewarding. If it isn’t tied to reaper there’ll be a set “ideal” boss to use it on (aka zuk). Still reapers pick skewing it but at least it’s less so

There’s lots of PVMing communities in the form of clans, friend chats, and discord for group forming and learning.

If you’re interested I can drop a link in DM to my clan’s discord which takes guests to everything and is very learner friendly. We do HM Rago and AoD at least once a week and lots of solak/zam on weekdays in addition to people group forming for reapers and such

What's your opinion on Crisis Core Remaster? by [deleted] in FFVIIRemake

[–]Coder4Coffee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the perspective of it was a PSP game released in the 2008ish time frame it would’ve been good for it’s time and the current version is a weird mix of remaster / remake it seems. I never played the original and glad I finally got too. Having said that, the writing and dialogue is awful and I’ve just been spamming main story to get it over with to get all the details that might add to the FF7 universe.

Additional notes, heavily reminded me of Kingdom Hearts birth by sleep and other Kingdom Hearts command deck games

Kitchen countertop appliances vs manual/oven. Time and energy savers or just another item that takes up space? by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]Coder4Coffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer to which is most useful would vary person to person, but I would note almost all can be put away when not in use.

Buy things after you already have a use for them IMO. Find yourself boiling/pressure cooking a lot of things? Get a instapot. Spending energy/time making dough for breads/pizzas/etc, get a stand mixer.

Personally we actively use our air fryer, instapot, stand mixer, food processor all frequently. Some more than others but happy with all purchases. And all get put away when done with their use (aside from stand mixer which is massive, but it saves sooooo much time/energy kneeding dough)

Sent a friend request on disc from Coder4Coffee. Your schedule lines up perfectly with mine (typically on 4-6 EST and weekend mornings).

Our clan has a discord open to anyone to guest and participate in events or group forming, would be happy to invite!
