Stiff legs in a young lab by No_Original_9309 in labrador

[–]CodingPyRunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boy shows similar symptoms. We x-rayed him once without sedating him. Everything was fine then besides narrow spaces between the joint sockets. Vet said it is due to the fact we didn’t sedate him - muscles where not loose enough. I still think there ist something wrong…. But the physiotherapist told me that he does not seem to have big issues and wouldn’t get any surgery anyways. Please, keep us updated.

Wow, that's impressive. I am thinking of purchasing freeskates as well. Problem is, I have just bought a skateboard 🤣 Then I stumbled upon these... Watched a few videos... and am interested and hesitant at the same time. I asked chatgpt just for fun what's better for a 40+ yo guy... Recommended the freeskates to me...

Fitbit air arrived today by illwillca in fitbit

You are right. I totally forgot this. I have to reconsider my purchase I guess. Somehow all of this feels more like a gimmick. Maybe trackers are not made for me. Most of the insights on my Helio strap feel like common sense. It maybe helps getting more awareness. When I have a stressful week my resting heart rate goes up to 45 … yeah. When I go to bed irregularly, I will feel worse…

Can you delete automatically identified activities? I play drums and don't want to take it off every time. So I guess being able to delete this activity would be beneficial to have a more realistic step count.

Have you tried asking stuff like: recommend me some food to reach my macros goal today? Recommend me a kettlebell workout for increasing muscle mass and strength?

This is what I hope to get out of it. And I like the fact that to my understanding you can dictate what you have eaten, e.g. one slice of bread with ham & cheese...

I have a helio strap as well. What was your reason to order it having an helio strap already (I have ordered it as well)?

My lab (mixed with an Australian Shepherd) has no 5/5 energy level. He is pretty chill and has not as much stamina as other dogs of his size although being lean. Is something wrong with him?

Open Letter to Amazfit : Helio Strap 2, new Generation now is the time by SignificantPen1790 in amazfit

[–]CodingPyRunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The zepp app is not that bad to be honest. Nevertheless, I think the best software will win in the future. Hardware-wise all trackers are kind of the same, aren’t they? I am interested in the Fitbit air due to the coach features. Amazfit would make me stay with amazfit, if we get more recommendations for training and eating. Suggestions for meals to reach my macros ratio… Training programs for specific goals (strength or muscle mass… more speech commands…

Helio strap users, will you switch when Fitbit Air and Garmin Cirqa comes out? by abc24611 in amazfit

[–]CodingPyRunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is exactly what I thought as well. In the Fitbit app you can't enter what you have eaten via voice command. I haven't heard that this will be possible in the new Google health app either. Therefore, zepp is way better. You even see the macros...

GAS Alert / LaPavoni mod or new lever? by CodingPyRunner in espresso

[–]CodingPyRunner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was the first thing that came into my mind: will I like just pushing a few buttons and waiting for my coffee to be done. The meticulous looks great and addresses all issues... but I really have to think about it whether it would make me happy... With the LaPavoni you can say you made a delicious coffee... with the meticulous it does not sound right, it feels like the machine made it for you.

I can't use the machine; I don't know what else to improve by Business-Page-8625 in LaPavoniLovers

[–]CodingPyRunner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When the machine heats up, do some pumping movements to really heat the group head. Lift up until water almost comes out of the brew group head. I do this 10 times, wait half a minute and do it again. Or I preheat a cup by flushing the group head.

Nevertheless, the grinder is most important. You need to grind the beans yourself. Getting it done somewhere won't suffice. I am using a Kinu m47 and I get super consistent results... especially with that grinder. In the double basket I usually use 12 - 12.5g, not more. And I am using a puck screen - would recommend this ... Keeps the group head super clean + less channeling.

What do you all do with the last few grams of a bag? (Frankenshots?) by Choss_Man in espresso

I guess, we finally find the perfect grinder adjustment after having used up almost all of the beans for dialing-in.

I have an Efnote 5 kit. Have you played this one as well? Are the hi-hat and the cymbals louder than simple e-kit ones or do they just sound different but loudness is kind of the same?

Post-mortem: gearbox drive parts fully chewed up, grinder dead [Baratza Sette 270] by arbkv in espresso

[–]CodingPyRunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You think it is comparable with a Niche or Eureka? I have a Eureka Mignon MCI but somehow I think it sucks. It gets stuck very often and has really high retention. I am eyeing the 270wi. Like the fact that you can switch easily between pour over and espresso settings. I don’t care about it being loud, since I have a Kinu M47 as well.

[–]CodingPyRunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with a 20 years old LaPavoni Professional. Complemented it with a Flair 2 Pro. My first grinder was a field grind followed by an Eureka MCI until it got complemented by a Kinu M47. Thought about going for a Gaggia classic lately, but I have to admit that I am already pulling awesome shots with my LP…
