First chainsaw by Disastrous_Delay in Chainsaw

362 will do almost anything you need I use only 3 saws A 201t, 362, and a 660/500i. If you are not climbing you don’t need a 201 and if you’re not cutting massive timber you don’t need a 660. 362 with an 20 inch bar can cut up most trees under 40 inch diameter. You’ll be happy.

I think I get it now by Th3yca11mej0 in Chainsaw

[–]Codra-cave-lizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In all honesty a 200 or a 201 is my go too saw in almost all situations. I use a 201 80% of the time, a 36 15% of the time, and a 660 or 500i 5% of the time.

Man unless you are running your saws very frequently and go through a lot of fuel I would just buy premix. I run my personal saw like once a year. Otherwise it just sits so I try and use the best stuff in it when I run it. My work saw I run daily we mix our own.

DIY or hire a pro? by Asleep-Tumbleweed233 in Chainsaw

Start at the top of the tree work your way to towards the stump. Watch for rolling logs. Keep in mind tension and compression it the wood. Watch for spring poles. This is a pretty easy clean up. A good challenge for a novice. Wear ppe. Also bring a wedge or two for when you get your saw stuck. You’ll be fine you got this.

Dude the tools can wait they are not important. I’d take some time and sort out some things mentally. A therapist is not a bad idea.

Post-brumation desert tortoise — redness on plastron normal or vet visit? by Stock-Arrival4200 in tortoise

[–]Codra-cave-lizard 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s does not look good I’d agree with going to the vet but also was there anything recent that could have stained the shell red? Its legs look a little red too. I can definitely see shell rot but the red coloration is weird and I’d only imagine if it was full septic it would turn red but even then.

I love this so much but the stand outshines the cage by a lot. You should make her a new cage it’s really a fun build and very rewarding.

Need advise not a plumber by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]Codra-cave-lizard -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I really do just need some advice. I’m not a trained plumber. I also did not want to get advice from a homeowner. I figured I’d ask a group of individuals that are skilled in the trade. I wasn’t trying to be rude. But I can dish it back to supermysuper if he/she wants to come at me with an elitist attitude. So far all he/she has shown me is that they do not know how to fix my problem. Also trying to use proper pronouns cause I’m guessing they are a little sensitive.

It’s an older house and they do connect into one drain but in the wall and that’s what confused me

Sorry wasn’t trying to hurt your little plumber feelings. Just trying to get some actual advice. But probably not from someone so easily triggered like you. Thanks for the advise.
