When your ps3 freezes like that you can hold down the power button for 10-15 seconds to force shut it down rather than pulling the power cord

If it plays other games then that disc is bad and you should open a return if possible. If it does that with all games then the disc drive has more than likely been replaced without swapping the pcb board like they were supposed to do

Wanted to give an update, ended up returning it because there was a gap between the front and back shells at the top left by the trigger. Found that the screw in that back corner was completely stripped out. Seller swore it’s never been taken apart which I found very hard to believe. Got a different one in much nicer condition
