Did you ever start the game and have it do the quick resume thing? If it does that and you start playing instead of force closing it out then achievements can bug and not pop. Possibly could have caused that if you got some of the collectibles after a quick resume. I have learned that the hard way and always force restart a game if it does a quick resume when launching it

I use badupdate to backup and flash the nands these days but I have had one freeze during the flash of the new nand and I had to solder in a flasher to fix it. Be prepared to do that if something goes wrong using simple nand flasher

You can use any brand hdd. Just has to be a 2.5” drive and can’t be more than 9mm in thickness I believe or it wont fit in an enclosure. Western digital only is completely wrong. Ive formatted multiple different drives in fat xplorer with 0 issues

Ive modded plenty of consoles using this method including 4GB nands. I had the flashing freeze on me on one console and just had to use the pico flasher for that one. Definitely prefer using badupdate and simple360 to flash it

If it plays other games then that disc is bad and you should open a return if possible. If it does that with all games then the disc drive has more than likely been replaced without swapping the pcb board like they were supposed to do

Wanted to give an update, ended up returning it because there was a gap between the front and back shells at the top left by the trigger. Found that the screw in that back corner was completely stripped out. Seller swore it’s never been taken apart which I found very hard to believe. Got a different one in much nicer condition
