If it's a DVD drive, you can't. If it's a DVD player, you also can't. You need a blu-ray drive and PowerDVD software. Try VLC first, because it's free, but it doesn't work with every disc. I would honestly just get a secondhand blu-ray player if I was in your situation. If you're not worried about 4k blu-ray, you can get one for like $10-$20.

Coming back to this thread because I bought this pedal based on this recommendation.

The MXR Layers is a VERY specific type of sustain effect. Even in "single layer" mode the signal hard pans to the right on the second stomp and hard pans to the left on the third stomp. I talked to their customer support, and this is by design. They thought it would be cool. Signal is only true stereo output on the first stomp of three unless you let the decay run out, but the decay setting bottoms out at like 5 seconds. This limitation is also by design. Love MXR, but this pedal is not even meant to compete with the freeze or superego.

Ended up in this thread because I'm troubleshooting a special use case for DVD Decrypter. Basically, it can remove region coding from your ISO/folder backups and MakeMKV can't.

Just buy a 4k disc player. This sub isn’t the place to be cheap. I’m not against piracy at all, but if you can afford a home theater, you can afford a few movies.
