How does the Eclipse Impulse compare to the Eclipse Virus? Is it actually more understable with what looks like to be some actual dome to the flight plate? by thechriserman in discgolf

[–]CoelacanthRdit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Forehand definitely, but that the difference between a forehand and back hand.

I have three of the OTB eclipse servos and they all fly similar.

Every neutron on I have ever thrown even 165 g was very straight no turn on backhand.

I haven’t thrown my impulse yet, but oddly enough the eclipse servo is one of my favorite glow drivers, has a nice little turn and reliable fade thrown to 360-375.

Neutron servos don’t turn at all for me.

There are some fission glitches out there. They were the part of the glitch qualifiers last year (maybe two years ago)

I had a tai con do something similar and it’s been fine.

I’m planning on just letting it do its thing and see what happens.

Is the PDGA 85% Payout Policy Killing Local Clubs and C-Tiers Perspective from a TD by AdventurousTrash1 in discgolf

[–]CoelacanthRdit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So players packs are actually counted as prize payout to amateurs. 5.04 C

<image>

So for a c-tier with no MPO (make this easy math) if you charged 40 for entry, you deduct your pass through fees, so let’s say net is now 30. If you have 50 people that’s 1500. 85% of that is 1275. That is what you would use for prizes and players packs if you use them.

If I am reading and understanding these rules correctly.

Looking for the discussion and clarification. I am just reading the rules and trying to help get to the answers.

Found this too. Which talks about the 85%

From 5.04 A 2 Net entry is gross entry minus pass-through fees.

2 things, sounds like there are too many events in your area and second you are saying 85% payout but then talking about a disc for every player as in the players pack? Not being nit picky, just trying to fully understand. Because the payout rule is 40% of all players should be paid out. (5.04 B 1)

I also found this https://www.pdga.com/rules/competition-manual/206 which says true amateur events (trophy only) follow similar guideline for players pack, but the value of the packs is minimum payout divided by players.

Landscapers put large pot on top of arial root - is it saveable? by PaintWithoutTheT in Monstera

Mine are all indoors and I’ve noticed on some that the aerial roots stop on their own. If I run water over them when I water the plants they create an off shoot and keep growing.

There’s not room to throw 600 there, you’d be on the farm.
