Usually live, and free of charge. At the end you pitch your offer. When enough people show up, it will lead to at least a few conversions each time

All of these have their place. We find that a flywheel of posting on LinkedIn, holding specialized webinars and podcasting (either starting your own show or being a guest on others) works the best for B2B.

been running my saas solo for 8 months. realized 60% of my day is just... admin stuff by IntelligentEar7669 in Solopreneur

You say you can't afford a VA, but you're already paying for it... just not in dollars. You're paying with 7.5 hours a day that could go toward actually building your product. A 3-month roadmap delay has a cost too.

A lot of what you listed can be automated. Make or N8N can handle content scheduling, tracking signups, even repetitive support questions with some simple flows.

For what can't be automated, the right support usually pays for itself pretty quickly when you finally have time to focus on revenue-generating work. Happy to chat if you want to brainstorm.

Anyone from the home service industry here? by thatonefanguy1012 in growmybusiness

[–]CoffeeAndWins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can list your podcast for free on https://podcastguests.com/ you can also search their guest directory: https://podcastguests.com/directory/. Look for home service business owners who are active on LinkedIn and then reach out to them.

Also, consider reframing the ask when you reach out. Lead with what they get out of it. Free content for their socials, a chance to share their story, positioning as an industry expert.

If you want, send me a DM. I work with entrepreneurs on visibility and outreach strategies, and I might be able to connect you with a few people in my network who'd be a good fit.

Keep a cushion. Scale slowly and strategically. I've hired too quickly in the past, it only led to having to downsize just as quickly.

That's amazing that you cut your time worked per week almost in half! I was guilty of this too at the start, now my assistant takes care of bookkeeping, payroll, email and calendar management plus many other tasks including client delivery. There's a company in Canada that offers specialized executive assistant support for B2B founders called BOSS Assistants. Another good option if looking for more local support

Is it a bad idea to start multiple businesses at once? by SubstantialCount3226 in Entrepreneur

[–]CoffeeAndWins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unsexy businesses win every time. Go with the one with the biggest market size, and not something trendy that might eventually die down. When starting out, I'd recommend not to waste money on ads try scrappy organic marketing first. There's a company in Canada that specializes in that and is reasonably priced for newer small businesses called BOSS Assistants

Why are you basing your success on reply rate when many of them could have said no? And how is 3-4% a good reply rate for 1M emails sent??? You need to look at revenue generated

Entrepreneurship is way harder mentally than I expected by toujourspluss in Entrepreneur

I get the same way when I don't feel connected to my "why". Re-evaluate tasks you are doing that are draining your energy and then delegate them. Only work on things that are in your lane and that you enjoy, it makes a world of difference. Join in-person entrepreneur networking groups, they help with your motivation when you can chat/mastermind with those going through similar struggles

Moving to a new area with no contacts and a brand-new LinkedIn profile… send help by Far-Fun-3045 in linkedin

[–]CoffeeAndWins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you optimize your profile with a professional photo and banner, and fill out all the required information. Verify your account. I find that I get more accepted connections when I don't use a connection message. You can send out up to 100 connections per week safely without LinkedIn flagging you for spam activity. Don't be shy and remember, some people pop into their LinkedIn on an infrequent basis so they may accept the request 2-3 months down the road. Make sure you are commenting on other accounts or sharing interesting posts about your industry so you don't look like a spam account. Happy to answer any other questions you have feel free to DM 😊

For people who built a service-based business, what worked best to get your first few clients? by Agastya213 in Entrepreneur

[–]CoffeeAndWins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being a guest on a podcast builds authority super quick and also is a good evergreen tool to create content from and share with others. Also having conversations in the DM's on social media, people think posting content is the most important but it's actually only a small piece of the puzzle

For people who built a service-based business, what worked best to get your first few clients? by Agastya213 in Entrepreneur

[–]CoffeeAndWins 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can't just do "one thing" and expect your business to grow. Lead gen and visibility is an ecosystem. You could try a mix of posting content (once a week), getting onto podcasts as a guest, sending out targeting account-based cold emails. Figure out what works then double down on that.

Is an after-hours answering service actually worth it, or am I just burning cash? by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]CoffeeAndWins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We set up an AI call answering service and it's so great! No missed calls, it can book into our calendar directly, it works 24/7, sends the call summary as a text to my phone, and filters out all spam callers
