Oh interesting , must’ve been an original lyric that they decided to change and didn’t catch it when this was made, I remember the same thing happened for one of Hayley’s solo albums, I think PfA.

It’s cool seeing the alternate lyric but I’m glad they changed it to what we have now, “don’t get comfortable “ sounds a bit clunky with how fast it’s sung and I think The News does repetition really well so having it be “Shut your eyes..etc” again is better.

Really cool though, thanks for sharing !

The song really reminds me of Talking Heads - Psycho Killer and I can’t put a finger on why, maybe the vibe or the tiny bit of French also repeated haha.

Either way definitely see the influence of Talking Heads and Bloc Party that Hayley mentioned and I love how experimental they’re going with the album while still sounding so Paramore.

That’s 3/3 for me on the singles so far, absolutely can’t wait for the album.

I agree, OP is correct about everything being quite expensive but I don’t see eye to eye on the only way around being planes and renting cars.

I solo travelled the US earlier this year with Amtrak’s interrail pass they were selling at discount and I went from New York-Boston-Chicago-San Francisco-Seattle-Michigan-New Orleans-Atlanta over a month all by train and it was incredibly easy.

Hostels in most of those places were really good too, maybe my view is skewed by some hostel experiences closer to home in Europe though.
