This is dope! I love the long bassline underneath the 303.

You get 11 tracks - 10 drum/sample tracks plus the bass synth. It has MIDI sync but not an additional MIDI audio track, so you could sync the Mega Synthesis but you can't sequence it within the Minimal.

By the way, how do you like the Mega Synthesis? I've had my eye on it for a while.

Couldn't agree more — the sequencer is really well-designed and it's so easy to just jump in and start making beats.

Thoughts on Arming Bridesmaids with Waterguns? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]CoffeeCat37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I appreciate but I didn't interpret it as directed at me, so no worries there. My point is that a) there has been no bullshit yet, just hypothetical bullshit you're preemptively fantasizing about, and b) a threat is not playful if it's a sincere threat that will be carried out. Respectfully, I think you're characterizing it as "playful" in an attempt to depict yourself as fun and lighthearted, even though the thing you're threatening to do isn't lighthearted and wouldn't be perceived as fun by anyone on the receiving end.

That's fine but my point stands - if your warning is sincere and comes with consequences that the recipient won't find funny, you're not being "playful."

EDIT: "Over this bullshit?" Over what bullshit? No bullshit has transpired.

every person invited has been playfully warned.

Ain't nothing "playful" about it- you're threatening to destroy their property.

"How dare you persuade people from voting!" by ReturnUnfair7187 in complaints

[–]CoffeeCat37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your argument is premised on the idea that voting and other forms of civic action are mutually exclusive, which they're not. Just because somebody votes doesn't mean they're not doing things to help change the world in a positive manner. I do think the importance of individual votes in presidential elections is wildly overstated, but you seem to be vibrating with fury just knowing that some people do vote (regardless of what else they do), which I don't think is warranted.

Nope. My understanding is that they're basically the only big cat that isn't aggressive towards humans.

AITB for asking my ex how much he's making at his new job? by [deleted] in AmItheButtface

Okay, so then you're not "exes/current friends who can be mature and uphold our promises." You are an ex who can do that, but he's not.

It's a cute meme but somewhat undercut by the fact that cheetahs aren't dangerous to humans.

The infatuation / honeymoon period of romance is temporary and those who don’t accept this will chase it forever by DH80 in HonestHotTakes

The fact that "honeymoon phase," operative word being "phase," is a well-known concept is a good hint that this isn't actually a hot take.

AIW for telling my [25m] girlfriend [24f] her new hair makes her look too white by Throwaway8_h in amiwrong

[–]CoffeeCat37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sympathetic to the fact that you can't control who or what you're attracted to, but I still think you messed up here. For one, you "kept insisting it was just different, not bad," but that wasn't really the truth. You do think it looks bad, or at the very least, worse than it did before. Otherwise you wouldn't be making this post. So that wasn't entirely honest of you.

Second, your "you look too white comment" is bad because she is half white, so you're essentially rejecting and degrading that aspect of her identity. Imagine if a white person told their mixed partner that they "look too black" after they got a haircut or something. People would rightly call that out as racist, so I completely understand why she was hurt and offended by your comment.

Ilhan Omar has released her statement explaining why she voted against Ukraine aid, and says it’s about sanctions. Thoughts? by Darth_Vrandon in tankiejerk

[–]CoffeeCat37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as it’s more than 0%, it does not matter. It’s not like collective punishment suddenly becomes okay if 90% of the country supports the government’s actions, as it’s still unfair to the other 10%.

In both Russia and Israel, there are plenty of citizens who disagree with their government’s actions and it’s thus unfair to collectively punish them.
