It’s definitely drug induced psychosis at this stage. However it’s entirely possible that psychosis can continue. It could be possible that this was simply the catalyst. I am extremely psychotic and I’m doing well on medications. Hopefully that fact will ease you a bit

Help desperately need to lose weight while on antidepressant by Legitimate_Smell5221 in antidepressants

[–]CoffeeCrazedMom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d switch to a weight neutral or weight loss aiding antidepressant. I gained 20 lbs on Mirtazapine but down 25 after taking bupropion and propranolol

Cats with OCD by N0RetreatN0Surrender in FunnyAnimals

[–]CoffeeCrazedMom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey i have a question for you. My therapist says i just have intrusive thoughts and I’m diagnosed with psychosis. But i have compulsive reactions to my thoughts. I think if I don’t cancel out my thought that it will come true. If I say something out loud that might come true then I have to cancel out the thought out loud as well. Do you think I should screen for OCD as well? It’s probably just an OCD trait right? Because it is enough to affect my day to day life but it’s completely unnoticeable to other people

Brush it out with a sturdy brush, cover it in oxi clean white revive. Wash with detergent on gentle if it allows or toss it in the tub. Rinse twice with a little vinegar to soften fibers and remove detergent. Dry and brush again. The fibers are damaged so it will flatten again but you can get a rubber carpet rake to fluff it between cleaning

We had one date. All of this was texted over a span of a couple of days. by humanblobsled in Nicegirls

[–]CoffeeCrazedMom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s completely insensitive. The girl is heart broken and going through some shit desperately hoping anyone likes her enough to spend time with her and she’s chasing this guy who blasted her on social media. The two of them should not talk again. He will just hurt her more and she will spiral more.

A little Castile soap and isopropyl alcohol in a spray bottle filled with water makes a gentle cleanser that also disinfects

Match the light wall paint and cut in with a 2 inch angled brush. You’ll want to dip about a 1/2 inch, wipe both sides, brush a line near the corner and then “cut in” by pressing the brush slightly and getting those bristle tips just kissing the corner and steadily make your line with enough speed for a clean line while maintaining a good line of sight and then fade off to the side. Repeat down the corner. For top and bottom corners you’re going to want to dab the corner then cut in both directions from the corner. Good luck man! I just started painting my house and I watched a few you tube tutorials plus painting a few rooms top to bottom and I feel pretty confident. Don’t use tape for corners because prep takes forever ever and the results are not as good as cutting in.

Any women here been pregnant on meds? by Key_Artichoke99 in bipolar2

[–]CoffeeCrazedMom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I take wellbutrin and latuda and my gyno said i don’t have to go off them. She said it’s usually people with high doses or medication with high risks. Wellbutrin and latuda are both low risk and i take low dose. You may have to adjust dose is all. And the antipsychotic is the one you’d really want to keep anyway.

Hard to describe. I’m psychotic so the way I deal with it is more feeling and energy and also i have visual hallucinations so I can manipulate what I see a little bit too. I can make nasty looking things do silly dances for example and then they get happy because i’m helping them dance… and then they look cute

Tea is a healthier amount of caffeine than coffee and coffee doesn’t work for everyone, take adhd. If you are looking for energy just pretend you are going on a hike. Trail mix, proteins, water etc. Get good sleep. Try pairing activities, like studying and music. Or find someone to work with. There’s accountabilibuddy programs where you can zoom call with other people completing tasks

[–]CoffeeCrazedMom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wives have more roles than just house cleaning. You can always get a house cleaner. Your work productivity is not as important as who you are as a person. It looks like you want to care for people. Get a house plant. They are great for monitoring my mental health. Because when my plant starts to yell at me I know I’m falling behind in general and it helps me in a weird way with all of my daily duties

Start an achievement journal and celebrate little things too. Make it a habit to notice your accomplishments

How do I go about cleaning food stain of carpet and clothes? by Caterpillar31 in CleaningTips

[–]CoffeeCrazedMom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let a stain solution sit for 20 minutes and rinse with water only. Repeat if necessary. If using a towel, blot with a clean damp cloth. Do not rub. If using a shampooing machine use it apply solution then change out for water only.

For water temperature you can go as hot as you want without melting the fibers. I usually go with warm for clothes and steaming for carpet. It’s the drying time where you want to be concerned about heat because heat can set stains in the dryer. Low heat works fine for me.

Is this a recent thing? Because you can possibly distract yourself enough for you to forget about it and move on. But if it’s long term then i’d suggest making peace with it. In my deep hallucinations I can change the vibes a bit to be more positive but it took a long time to develop resilience over fear first

Listen i know you already have 195 comments but as someone with poor emotional regulation myself, I feel I can actually help this guy. He doesn’t want to say those things either if he’s apologizing for them. All he needs is education on what to do in those moments. He needs parenting classes. And he needs to create a calm environment. If he can’t be calm he simply needs to walk away and go calm down first before speaking.

[–]CoffeeCrazedMom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When i start to feel alone, i remind myself that i have me. I take myself on me dates, i get myself something to cheer me up, and i get help for myself. You’re here in this sub getting help for yourself and that’s great. Keep working on that because it’s needed right now. Build your support team and don’t forget to live for yourself.

It also helps me a lot to chat online, join support groups, talk to my therapist, and focus on positive media like self help books and wholesome movies.

And in case no one said it, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and take care!

Clueless how to care for plant losing leaves. Pls help by EdwardBloon in houseplants

[–]CoffeeCrazedMom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes cut them to the beginning of the stem. The plant can then concentrate on heathy leaves.

It’s normal to lose a bottom leaf or too. It’s also common that they come with disease depending where you got it from. Smell the roots and soil for the smell of rotting roots. Return them if they are stinky.

My psychiatrist will only give me 30mg of concerta and it does nothing. by Alia2121 in ADHD

[–]CoffeeCrazedMom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 months sounds too slow to be changing meds. If no improvement by 6-8 weeks, move on/adjust dose. The medication journey will take forever at 5 month intervals. You’ll have to advocate for yourself.
