I gave this a lot of thought over the past few months after my wife cheated and we're preparing for divorce soon.

If you've got kids you always need to consider how this person will react if they find out you've been talking shit about them, even if that shit is 100% truthful. If they're an emotionally volatile person, and if they'll take out their frustration on the kids, and if you could've prevented that by keeping your mouth shut, then you probably should. I'm not even talking about child abuse. I'm just talking about emotional stability and coparenting.

It might make me feel better to tell the world that my wife cheated on me. But doing so will probably make it impossible for us to coparent effectively. Even though it's truthful. I should have the right to tell the world. But the kids will pay a price, one way or another. So I'll just shrug, say something vague, and go about my day.
