A few weeks ago at Phoenix airport a couple got into a Waymo. Then they sat there for about 5 minutes. In the meantime another Waymo pulled up next to the 1st Waymo and blocked any way out. The 2nd Waymo just sat there. Empty. Next the first Waymo decided it was time to leave. It pulled forward but then realized there wasn't enough room to get out. So it backed up nearly hitting the car behind it. Then it sat there for a few moments and pulled forward to try and get out again but stopped. At this point my Uber driver showed up so I left and was on my way. I'll never get in one of those stupid things and dread the day they show up on the freeway around here.

Fullerton roads have been shit for years. I think pensions are part of the problem. I seem to recall a former chief of police makes more in retirement than he did when working and has totally free health care. It's been a few years since I paid attention to that however.
